I dont have any problems with my belt slipping on mine. I made this little device that will tighten the belt right up. Then I put on some belt dressing from napa to make it a little sticky. The device I made is just a c-clamp with the the end opposite the screw cut off. Then I put a socket against the spacer and twist the c-clamp against it. You can tighten it down until you get at least nine pounds out of it but eventually the belt will stretch. Before I put the car away for this winter I would consistently hold 6 pounds. It sure is better then beating on the spacer with a hammer and a screw driver to get the belt tight. I have read on here that someone is using a smaller belt so that it stays tighter after the belt stretches but I havent tried this yet.1997 Supercharged Firebird<br />14.01@99.7mph 2.1 60ft.

That schematic of the Powerdyne belt routage is wrong. It actually starts at crank then to water pump, power steering, then alternator, then to a custom Vector Perf. belt tensioner, then to the idler, to the AC and finally to Supercharger pulley and then back to Crank again. Whewwww....I think that all of them but the coverage of belt around the pulley is alright.
I have yet to try a smaller belt but the gates belt have worked so well that I haven't bother with it yet.
