  • 8#s on stock internals with hot air... Lets try it again.

Ok. Where did we leave off? Detonation when its hot out?

I'm planning on just using one of their smaller blower probably just a Vortech V-1 S-Trim with an 8# pulley. I hope with the right fuel and exhaust upgrades stock internals will be able to handle the extra air. Any suggestions for me about fuel upgrades to keep it from running lean as hell?

hot summer = 8 psi intercooled about max.

cold winter, 12 psi is fine...

93 oct. If you run more, then of course, you got differences...

Your stock internal should be OK. I've been running mine for 6 yrs without any problems. I did experience some nasty blowbys back then but today it seems to be OK. I don't know what I did though to riducule that.

Intercooler is always a good and safe thing. Eventhough I know some who are running 12psi with out and still doing OK.

I did notice that above 6psi, FMU is not enough for fuel. You do lean out alot at the top end. Either an in-tank and in-line should help that.

Good Luck. Show pics of your set up.
