thats just it, from what I know there are no other turbo kits on the market.... so FFF has no formal competition... but if teufel's kit does make it to market at some point I think it's much better thought out, much higher quality (in materials and worksmanship).

So if you're just trying to get somebody to come out and say that tiago's kit is the best on the market, well then, nobody can argue with you there.... it's the only kit on the market..Perhaps a good indication of how people view FFF and it's products will come from FFF's apparent plans to produce LT1 and LS1 kits. There are several kits available for either of those cars, and many of them are good quality, and sell well. It would be interesting to see if any customers considering any of those other kits would buy an FFF kit instead.

Gotta love capitalism..... when you've got the market all to yourself, people tend to think you're the best thing going, until some competition comes along and all the sudden it makes everyone rethink their product, and how they'll have to improve it if they want to keep their market share. the customer will benefit, and I think thats what everyone wants here.. the best turbo kit they can get

They teach you that in the first days of "Business 101" in college :D

well, teufels' kit utilizes headers, not factory manifolds. it uses high quality mandrel bent pipes, that can stand up to turbo duty for a long time. the welds are flawless..... the welds on the FFF pictures I have seen look absolutely horrible. his kit also uses high quality clamps, which any serious turbo builder would say is a necessity. it also uses high quality connectors, not radiator hose. the piping routing on teufels' kit also seems less prohibitive to flow than the FFF piping, which as I said before, on the driver's side, that exhaust simply butts into the crossover pipe at a 90 degree angle, whereas teufel's kit uses a nice y pipe to join the two pipes coming off the headers into one. teufel also uses a full T4 turbo, more power potential, and being as how it can breath through headers instead of factory manifolds, it has similar spool characteristics to a smaller turbo, such as the one FFF offers with it's kit, so boost threshhold and lag is very acceptable for a street car and normal driving. Teufel's kit also utilizes a full exhaust.... so it will pass emissions when tuned properly..... an open downpipe is not only tacky and obnoxious, but wont pass emissions, isnt the least bit stealthy, and alerts law enforcement to your every move  . Another issue is ground clearance. on the FFF kit the pipes are simply routed right under the cross member... one unexpected pothole or speedbump and that pipe is history. there is (just estimating from pics) at least 1-2 more inches of groung clearance with teufel's turbo system.... He told me that the car was driven over a huge speedbump during developement at 15 mph and the pipe didnt touch. Does FFF care to do such an experiment with their kit? :D or perhaps a new FF owner will try it ;)

Ok first, the kit uses the tubular manifolds which are just as good and mind u this kit is for ppl who arent lookin to drop an sh*tload of money second the t3/t4 (as far as i kno) makes the spin up faster third the welds are the same in both kits, i looked closly and they both use same design, both are mandrel and made the same way. (u need ur eyes checked) Though i gotta agree the k-member things a good idea to keep ground clearance

You go on the FFF website and look at the kit offered for the 3.8, and come back and tell me the pipes are routed the same. If i remember what Tiago said, on HIS car the pipes are routed very similarly... not on the kit for the 3.8

you gotta be kidding me........ the tubular manifolds are good, but people still see gains when switching from those to pacesetter headers, which is what teufel has. that should tell you which is better in flow terms.... Me and you must be looking at different pictures, because the FFF kit isnt the same design by a long shot. look at how the crossover pipe is done.... on the FFF kit it runs on the driver's side, and like I have said many time, the driver's side simply butts into the crossover pipe.... teufel's kit goes under the passenger side, and is routed differently, using the y pipe as well before the up pipe hits the turbo. also, there are no pics of the intake side yet, but instead of that very weird looking 180 degree intake pipe out of the TB on the FFF kit, teufel's is different, but I'll let the pics tell that story when he gets them up. Also, I gaurantee we're looking at different pics when we talk about welds, because the welds on the prototype kit are some of thw worst I have ever seen (no offense intended, maybe they used a 50 year old stick welder )
