Ok guys, sorry that I have not been here in a while I switched offices and have been way too busy with life to complete the project that I had.
I was formerly CM Boyd, and the project was a custom remote mounted turbo. I sold the kit to a member on this board (Where are ya Charlie?) who was supposed to get it done right. Unfortunately i ain't heard from him in over 6 months.
I did not give up totally on the project because I made mock-up piping of the original unit that was fabbed on my Firebird. I even kept an extra unused turbo and will probably construct another head unit for somebody that wants to try it. Still got all the brass fittings and clamps to boot.
The real problem that was KILLING me was the excessive oil leaks, smoking, and exhaust leaks.
Too bad I quit the project before repairing those
issues. You will find it quite difficult to have a daily driver and Turbo project happening at the same time. You just have to plan real well.
I was using a .63 on the exhaust side which did real well. The RKSPORT headers kept leaking because the bolts would come loose. The oil pump was getting weak, and I was spending more time under the car than driving it. Better luck next time... I am looking forward to constucting another kit in the future.
Maybe then we can have some solid numbers.
Thanks for the support everyone.
