• using turbo buick manifolds and turbo for 3.8 camaro?

I wounder if you could use 3.8 turbo manifolds off a gnx or a turbo regal, and the turbo on a 3.8 v6 camaro. Of course i believe they would have to be modified a little. I think if you used a proper wastegate to manage boost levels to a lower level, and a proper fmu it would work! What do you think?

No you cant use them, we have series two the cars you are talking about are series one.

Ok then could you switch the heads to series one so you can use the manifolds?

no.. but you can adapt the manifolds to the correct flange.. to fit our series two motor.. just need an experienced welder and fabricator

the motors are almost completely different forget the 3800 name they have little in common. The heads cant be swapped neither can much of anything else. You are obviously very new to this so i suggest you search and and read up. IMO if YOU try to put a turbo on your car you will kill it. do your research before asking questions that make you seem stupid.

t-punk you dont need to be such an ***. It was just a question. I have made turbo kits for n/a honda's for years, so it wouldnt kill it, and second of all the motors share alot of similarities. And if people are supercharging them you can turbo them, and the motor its self is supercharged in lots of stock cars from the factory.

Actually, our motors dont have too many similarities to the past Series 1. The block maybe, but thats about it. Also the factory supercharged motors have completely different internals than our f-bodies. Check out some of these links and they may answer some of you questions.

The first link deals with GTP L67 supercharger and the other 2 are about Buick GN turbo specs and swaps. Hope this helps you.

It would probably be alot easier to put the Buick GN motor and the turbo setup in the engine bay. Theres actually couple Camaros with a Buick GN motors.

I thought it was a good question. I didnt know myself. I could really give a **** less about the series one and never have even thought about it but his question was one that taught me something new.

Even though the charger off the GNX may now work. What might be able to bolt up is the factory super off the GTP grand prix or super charged Regal? That is also a series 2 3.8, might take a little extra work but worth looking into. And I do know that with a few extras that super can produce quiet a good chunk of power.

I have a 3.4 so it doesn't really apply to me, but would one of the hot Super kits for the GTP's work? Maybe with a little pipe work, being in the GTP the engine is mounted sideways instead.
