  • Interest in a 3.4 turbo kit

I've noticed a lot of people lately asking about turbo 3.4 stuff. I've been playing with the idea of making my own kit since tiago seems to have moved on to 3.8's. This kit WOULD NOT be similar to tiago's. It would be based off FORWARD headers, T70, Tial BOV and external WG. I'm also thinking about making/including a couple LT1 modified manifolds as well.

I'm currently seeing what the interest would be. If theres enough interest I would start making the kits sometime in May. I would like to dyno and run my car at the track to see how well the T70 works at the track before I finalize any plans. Please reply with your thoughts.

Maybe some interest from here. Would this include the foward sweeping headers? Also, would there be any sort of tuning included?

Well you can kiss my *** I try to help the 3.4's only to get bashed. What exactly is there to laugh at? Hell I should make a kit and then we can compare who's would be better.

Yes if I were to make a kit if would include forward headers and most likely an lt1 style manifold.

As for tunning the only option for 3.4's is MegaSqurit. It not to much money but you have to have an understanding of how EFI works.

I'd be interested. My camaro seems so slow after I bought my 350Z. It's still bad a$$ off the line though.

                    FYI
Don't put yourself in a position to get burned. There is a big difference in "interest" and being able to afford to get and or willingness to pay the price. I’m not trying to discourage you here, just tread softy and don’t burn yourself….

wasn't the first LT1 camaros OBDI? there's plenty of LT1 camaros that have turbos, and if someone is capable of tuning an LT1 camaro, wouldn't they be capable of tuning a 3.4? i know there would be differences, but why program a MegaSquirt if you're capable of reprogramming the current ecu? maybe it's just a matter of the tuner getting the correct documentation from GM.

I have yet to hear of an indiviual cracking the 3.4 ecu. Fastchips, jet, and I believe super chips did it, but it doesn't look like they're sharing.

Also I agree with Linxs. Everyone is always interested but getting the cash is another thing. If you do get a kit out you will have a corner on the market for the 3.4 cars. Especially if we don't have bring the cars to you like with fff.

once i see how much time it takes to make one kit i'll be able to base things off of a multy person buy or build a kit as they are ordered. if it takes a long time to make just one kit then i will only do if there is enough interest. if i can make the kit simple enough then i might be able to do it on a one by one basis. also depends on how well i can set up my garage to make everything. i would also do it as a set kit so whatever i find works on my 3.4 i will use in the kit. i won't have options for stuff like WGs & BOV. the only option i'd give would be 65lbs injectors if you want to run megasquirt, or 24lb injectors with FMU. forward headers and lt1 tb would come with every kit most likely. and i might think about including a WBO2 to almost make it a true complete kit.

keep in mind i'm not even going to start planning a kit till may.

WOW, now you are talking 5K+ on the kit.... That might be a little steep don't you think? Your looking at 3K in just (quality) parts.
