Id rather ask questions and look like a moron than be quiet and fcuk something up. But hey if u wana think ur know everything you go right a head and be as cocky as you want. This guy wants to know the truth and when someone says something wrong correction is needed. But i dont have to defend the kit. It does itself. But hey you know everything so let him talk to you

i called him ignorant for past comments just as u did me. And its just as if someone where to say "camaros suck" would you not defend it, or do u not have any pride. I have pride in what i will soon own.
EDIT : The reason for ignorancebut it is poorly built and offers little practicality---

first Im not gonna bash you again because your ignorant, but if hes into looking at kits the FFF kit is a good choice, though this isnt the "ultimate" kit, for what your getting it is a good deal. Second the exhaust on the FFF kit can be routed to a catback (if you want more backpressure than open downpipe) THought the clearance in them is pretty low, the spot wher its lowest is at the k-member, and unless your a moron goin 15 over a speedbump, isnt a problem. Though it has been done with the FFF kit with no problem. Can say ne thing bout the 6 month thing but i do kno it had to do with the shop welding the parts inccorectly i belive.

To the original poster, sorry your post has gotten off track, I simply stated my opinion of a kit that you might buy, and someone came in and started insulting me because of my opinion... oh well

ok, time to clear up a few issues. The FFF kit is a good place to start. Yes, there are areas for improvement, but there isn't anyone else out there producing a kit for our cars that is as close to bolt-on as the FFF kit. Yes, there are clearance issues with the pipe routing on the kit. bear in mind that it is based w/ the space provided with the stock K-member. The BMR k-member as well as the PA k-member for our cars provides 3-4" more of room for pipe routing in the header area alone. Pictures of these k-members on LS1 cars show a large area where the exhaust piping could be routed above the k-member. This would clear up the clearance issues that have been brought up.
WHy didn't FFF just make the kit fit those k-members? that's because the k-members are 500 a pop, and would add to the kit cost, which could drive away people who'd really wanna get the kit.
as far as emissions. since each state has different laws on the subject, you can pass emissions as easily as just getting it looked at to see if there's any ses codes. if there's not, u pass. some states are like that. some don't even need you to go to a referee. in those states, the kit will "pass emissions". In states like california, my air lid wouldn't let me pass emissions. I'd fail the visual inspection before they ever stuck the sniffer up the tailpipe. Saying the FFF kit can't pass smog is a subjective statement that doesn't help ur argument, since it's way to generic, and is wrong in some circumstances.
Maybe next time, when you say something is bad, u should explain ur reasons why u think that. same goes with why something is good. No one will learn anything if you don't explain urself, especially in this case since the person who started this thread is trying to learn and understand.
In my opinion, the FFF kit is a good starting point for a turbo kit. It provides a good base that can be built on in the future, and changed to fix any shortcommings that the driver may feel could be made better. When I purchase a kit from FFF or Tiago, it will not be this kit, but will be a kit or setup based on their design, since I want more from my car than what the stock kit can provide. i will go to them and have them fabricate a pipe leading back over an aftermarket k-member. i will have a larger turbo than what comes w/ the kit. i will want to try to fit a front mount intercooler behind my bumper w/ my front plate cut out and the bumper support removed. I might want custom turbo headers made to shorten the exhaust path. These are just things that i will approach them with, because it's what I want from the kit. if any of you get the kit, u may be happy with it or u may wanna change it a little because of little quirks u have about it. it doesn't matter. it is a fuctional kit. it is another path to take. you don't have to go this route if u don't want to. Help educate others to let them make their own decisions about their cars.2001 Arctic White Firebird<br />More mods than I\'m allowed to list!

I would agree that the FFF kit might not be the best kit for someone looking for a moderate performance increase, show car looks, and ease of use/install. A powerdyne kit will probably do them fine.
Happy times cutting up the frame big guy.
