I am having a hard as @&*$ time find the 1/4 NPT 45 degree fitting for the oil sending unit. Any suggestions where I can find one. I have tried PepBoys, Home Depot and Advance Auto Shops.

i am pretty sure it is 3/8 npt. if you have a second car then bring the sender with you. if not then bring a wrench to remove it in the parking lot (and bring some teflon thread tape) when you find fittings that might work. you won't loose any oil...maybe two drops.

i found my fitting at an auto parts store in their bins of brass fittings. it was one piece. not all auto stores have a comprehensive selection of such items. just have to check around.

some stores have them behind the counter. i found some other brass fittings at my local autozone behind the counter...dude let me back there when i started telling him auto techno lingo about supercharge this and pcv that....his head got dizzy when he couldn't just type in his computer and car model, year and engine type.

Here is the product # I got from Ace Hardware. 17-9015. 1/4 MIP X 1/4 FIP 45 degree street elbow. Here is the companys website that makes it. www.lasco.net/wf1 So if all else fails you can call and order one.
