  • UPDATE: Boost Creep prob.

i have the T3/T4 turbo and I had the standard turbine wheel in.....i am running a 2 foot open downpipe and thats it and it held 10psi and had no probs.......now i put the stage 3 turbine wheel in which is much larger and still have the 2 foot open DP....now when the boost is set at 10 it creeps to 12psi....never did that with the standard wheel

also once it hit's 12 psi it spudders and i let off....thaty might either me sprak blow out or my wastegate actuator is too weak for that psi.

Why did you go for another staged wheel and still running within the same PSI? :(
To eliminate boost creep you will need to a.) port the wastegate hole...cheaper or b.) get an external wastegate, well more $$$ (I was also under the impression that was your next move?)
The sputter can be a few things but I am leaning towards Spark blow-out also...what are you gapped at now?

.03-.035 is already at the ragged edge of always fouling...

well I stopped the boost creep last night....took turbo off and de-assembled it and ported the flapper hole.......holds 10psi like a champ now ;)

Alot of cars get boost creep running open downpipe (no backpressure, too free flowing, internal wastegate may not be able to handle the flow) most of the time all you have to do is port the little SOB.
