Crankcase evacuation breather?

Has anyone ever done this? I know Ed 2 years ago made an attempt to do on his blown Camaro but didn't have much success. Tyrunt Rolle did have success but he is no longer driving a Camaro and I can't seem to get in touch with him.

I remember when I first had my blower I drove it pretty hard and started to have oil leaks around the grommet and manifold area and I once blew my dipstick as well. My distant cousin who is a mechanic adviced me to put a Crankcase breather and that would help remedy the problem.

What do you guys think? And has done it?

Yes, you should do it. Excessive crankcase pressure and main seals do not get along. Ask a GN or TTA owner if they've ever had a rear main seal leak. 99.9 % will say they've had. ;)

I suggested this to Stefan back when he used to go to the track and play dipstick missile launcher. :D Not sure if he altered the PCV to fix the problem?

not to be speaking for stefan but I am pretty sure he got rid of the probelm my getting his exhaust opened up to 3 inches all the way through. Check his website I think he talks about it.

What brand or type should I buy and how do I install one successfully with out having the oil leaking out of it?

when I did my install, Vector included instructions as to block off the passageway at the TB.
It's in the install guide on my site if your interested in checking it out....

im looking into the exact same thing.. either some new valve covers powder coate with a breather on one.. Another guy made one on the plastic spout where you put oil in the car. Not sure if that is such a bright idea but said it solved his seal problem. He put a tube from the vent he made to the port on the kn air intake spot.

Tyrunt did the same thing too. He had success and did good in track. I was thinking of doing the same thing about using the snout for oil. I'll let you guys know how it turns out

I added a breather to my passanger side valve cover. I just got a PVC valve.......one of the factory style. The kind that only allows air to flow one way, added a small K&N filter to the end of it and called it a day. It seemed to work till the EGR detonated the other day...........
..........catching everything on the P.S. engine compartment on fire..........but thats a whole other story. This problem is being resolved as we speak. NO MORE EGR VALVE. DAMN TROUBLE ANYWAYS. -Nick-
