• lt1 throttle body hook up

I have my 3.4 plenum modified with an lt1 throttle body. I have the regular rubber boot to mount on it but I don't think it would be good to use this in my turbocharged application. Where can I get a rubber(or some material) adapter to go from the elliptical throttle body to the round tube coming from the turbo? What do the lt1 supercharged guys do? Is it possible to make one?

No, and there is no reason to. See the discussion in the Technical Database regarding TB sizing.

To hook the circular piping from the turbo to the oval opening you just use that expensive stuff from vortech or powerdyne and use clamps to secure it, is that what you are talking about?

Do they sell those parts individually?

I am not sure how it would hold up onder boost, but before you spend $100. Home depot in the PVC piping department, has 3in - 3in rubber couplings, and other sizes. They are close to half in. thick rubber, and setup to use normal automotive clamps.

It show I made my home made CAI, I jsut used the stock clamp, on the throttle body since it was oval shapped, I clamped the hell out off them and I cannot pull them off either throttle body or piping by hand without lossening them. It cost about $4. might be worth a try if the only other alternative is $100.

I think it looks similar to what people use on super chargers, jsut this stuff is a little thicker.

The whole thing is about 5 in. long, 3in. diameter. I think it is used exactly for underground drainage.

I wouldn't trust that stuff, lets just put some $4 crap on here and have it sucked into the engine, yeah, thats good.

actually I would think it ot be pretty storng, worst that would happen, is it would blow intake pipe off, or jsut fall off the throttle body.

Jsut my $0.02 I always go the cheap route, if I wanted to spend $25k on my car I owuld have gotten a z28.
