What do you mean by setting? I have seen this thing installed on all sorts of different cars that aren't listed online.

I will run this thing this summer so we will see how it works. I am SURE it will work on our cars so that is not an issue. It is just a matter of finding the wires you need to splice into coming off the computer.

finding the wires is easy, I just think it might not work since Russel Called APEXI and they said it don't work.

that universal link you gave is all good...here is the problem. like tiago said -- i had last tuesday off, and i called A'PEX Integration, Inc. last tuesday, and asked them..conversation was something like..(i will include all pauses and how long the conversation took so you can get an accurate idea of the conversation)

guy on phone: apex, how can i help you.

me: hi im on your website and looking over your products, and id like to know if one of them works with my car.

              guy on phone: ah..well..which product?

              me: the S-AFC.

              guy on phone: what car?

me: 1994 3.4L OHV Chevy Camaro.

guy on phone: no..well, the boost controller would work if you had the car turbocharged.

me: but other than that, nothing works with my car

              guy on phone: no.

              me: ok. thanks.

that was the whole conversation, lasted ..i dunno, like maybe 2 minutes. he seemed really confident in the info he was giving me, and didnt pause or stammer or anything like that...

so basically what "Apex" is saying is that their product does NOT work for f-bodies. (cause the Camaro/Firebird is pretty much the same car.)

Russel, thanks for calling them up. Well, i guess this idea is going down the tubes.

Now on the otherhand HKS makes a similar unit only i have heard it is a little bit better in the effects that you can do more with it. I will look into it for us.

I don't understand why this wouldn't work with our cars. It's just a matter of plugging the right wires into the right places as far as I can tell. I think the sales guy just didn't know what the hell he was talking about. It's just a standalone fuel management system. I'm going to give it a whirl on mine anyways.

the apexi unit has some jumpers you have to select, and different cars have different settings, and there is no setting for a fbody. now, you COULD go through the entire chart trying car by car until u found one that did work if any do, but you may cause severe damage to the car if something goes wrong during the trial error
