• want to run blower and nos

I have a 1998 camaro with the 3.8. I would like to run a supercharger and a small shoot of nos to cool the mix and add some horsepower. Does anybody use this setup. If so could you give me some advice as to what I have to do to make it all happen. Iceman0529@hotmail.com
To speed or not to speed that is the question.

Oh, this is definately a Shirl thing! :D

As long as you have enough fuel and don't run lean you'd be safe. The neat thing about NOS is that it is a once and a while power, while the blower is all the time power.

So a 6lbs with a 50 shot is good. A 9lbs and a 35 shot and so on. Don't wanna run to much shot or else you damage your pistons.

N20 is nitrous. NOS is a company (Nitrous Oxide Systems).

sorry to call it NOS bu-bye should have called it N20. If i rebuilt the bottom end do you think i could run 10 lbs of boost and a 50 shoot of N20. Will do whatever it takes.

ah, yes, the ole' nitrous and blower question: first off, please introduce yourself (not to be a biatch about things) but I get emails all the time from people I do not know and I do not answer them because imo it's kindof rude to write but not say who you are.. Anyway, I am still working out some bugs with the nitrous system.. sometimes the car bogs bigtime at the track when I spray. I'm not sure if it's because I ran too rich or what.. but at one point I seriously thought I destroyed my car!!
I don't know who's going to build your car for you, but as someone else mentioned above, you need to make sure there is enough fuel to support both the blower and the nitrous or you can kiss your motor goodbye. That's the scary part about using nitrous. You'll definately need an auxilliary fuel pump. As for the 9lb pulley, check the forced induction section. We've had countless posts about it. It will slip very badly unless someone comes up with a remedy for it and believe me, I tried to solve that problem for years.. it's just not an issue anymore to me. I keep it at 6psi. Did you purchase the supercharger yet?

No not yet was waitting for some info first before i bought anything. Did not want to buy something and then have to buy something else instead. But I will be buying one soon. Don't know who will rebuild my engine I guess it depends on how far they will go as far as what I want them to do. If I run the 6 lbs of boost what should i run as far a N2O shoot. One other guestion will a high flow fuel pump work or should i just get a seperate fuel pump to work along side my stock fuel pump? Sorry not to tell you who i am Shirl. Thankyou for replying.
