Ok, lets say we had true dual exahust...is it possible to rig up a twin turbo? and would you really see the gains? i mean, the supra...granted it was redlineing at like 7500, but the twin tubo ls1's haul. Also the 911 twin turbo...its like a 3.6 v6 or something...All i know is that im about to waste some serious money into this car, and im wondering if i should go the procharger route, or try a twin turbo...Intelegent feedback is appreciated =) Thanks in advance.

i dunno i think its totally possible to do and i think youd see some nice gains. Like somone else said PIONEERS are DEFINATELY needed. Id say go for it... :D2001 Black S10 Xtreme 4.3L A4
*RedLineVSix*
\"Throwin sparks, draggin frame\"

This is true, but they are having a lot of trouble keeping compression in the cylinders due to leakage between the cylinder head bolts. Just a little knowledge for people that don't give a crap. You might be better off in the Forced Induction section for a good answer.- Josh
If you have any questions or need installation pics/help, e-mail me: Viper98885@aol.com
\'93 Camaro Hardtop
\'01 Lincoln LS8 Sport
\'00 Yamaha YZF-R6
Full Throttle Performance

This could be done. However, you would be going the custom parts road that hasn't been traveled. Custom exhaust manifolds, turbo's matched to your engine(exhaust housing, compressor housing, inducer wheels, exducer wheels, Intercoolers(recommended), Custom downpipes w/ cat. converts., fuel delivery, fuel management, and tuning. Tuning includes matching the cam, torque converter, heads intake manifold upper and lower, computer management, and so forth. Exactly how much are you willing to spend and to what extent do you want the car to be street driven?2001 Arctic White Firebird
T-Tops, 3.42 rear gear stock
Mods:K&N Air Filter,Whisper Air Induction Lid, maf screen removed, raised air box, Kumho Ecsta 712 255-50-ZR16 tires, BMR stb
Mods not installed yet: FTRA, SLP Lsd/Differential cover
Near Future Mods: HPP3, GMMG 3\" Exhaust , 1LE Swaybars, Transgo Shift Kit, MSD-DIS-4 w/ Accel Coil-Packs, Turquoise Blue Neon Underbody Kit, BMR Adj. Since turbo's run off of your exhaust, you can tune your car to have the turbos kick in later in the powerband. There are basically 3 stages: street, low-lag, and drag. Street is a balance between low-lag and drag, drag setups kick in higher in the powerband and have low backpressure, low-lag setups sacrifice high-end flow for a quicker spool-up. I suggest getting a street to drag setup so you can cruise on the highway without the turbos kicking in.2001 Arctic White Firebird
T-Tops, 3.42 rear gear stock
Mods:K&N Air Filter,Whisper Air Induction Lid, maf screen removed, raised air box, Kumho Ecsta 712 255-50-ZR16 tires, BMR stb
Mods not installed yet: FTRA, SLP Lsd/Differential cover
Near Future Mods: HPP3, GMMG 3\" Exhaust , 1LE Swaybars, Transgo Shift Kit, MSD-DIS-4 w/ Accel Coil-Packs, Turquoise Blue Neon Underbody Kit, BMR Adj. ya, im not sure if this is what i want to do, i mean i love the sound of a blower, however, i was more curious as to if it could be done\would it be REALLY that effective, as a supra or 911. Thanks for the input guys.

Remember that Supras and 911's are built for turbos. That means strong internals w/ low (8.5:1) compression so they can take the boost. If you want TWIN turbos, get strong internals too, otherwise it will be a waste of money to run 2 turbos for 8psi of boost.
If you want to stick w/ stock internals for now, just go the single route. You can easily and effectively run 8psi of boost on stock internals w/ ONE turbo.
The advantage to twin turbos is that now matter your sizing, unless you get massive turbos (not ideal of a street driver), you won't have much turbo lag due to 2 turbos pumping air into the motor instead of just one.
on a side note, camaro_zach, drop me an e-mail and maybe we can get together sometime. I live just north of Tampa, in land o lakes, but I go into tampa all the time

That would be great man, id love to see and hear your car with the cam in it. Im emailing ya now. and yes i do know about the low compression internals, i wouldnt dream about doing even one turbo or blower without lowering the compression via redesiging the pistons. Thats just me, i know you can run a blower or a turbo on stock internals, but i want as much power as possible.

btw just a little hint, you DONT need true dual exhaust for twin turbo's. I suggest you do some reading up on how turbo systems work and what not.
take a look at my old setup

I think just about the best spot for us to look for major performance is another GM vehicle. The Grand National.
Single large turbo, 8:1 compression, 3 ring pistons, very strong internals, alcohol/water mix injection, intercooler, 25+ psi of boost on a 3.8L v6.
Nothing to laugh at
Unless if you put the turbos inline, I think a single large one will do you just fine. Most supras switch their twins for one bigger one.2001 75th Anniversary V6 Pewter Firebird w/ Chrome Wheels, T-Tops, & Y87
Mods: Free Ram Air, !Silencer, Holley Filter, Full 3\" Hooker Catback, 3\" Cat
Best time: 15.095 at 90.00 MPH with a 2.127 60\'
