Make sure your LSA is like 115 or 116 and lift is higher on the exhaust side. That's about all I know about Turbo cams.

actually tiago i am here, lol. i took a little break from here cause there was too much fighting and i was busy as hell.

any help you need i can help if you want. i used powdered metal sbc rods in my 3.4. car has seen well over 30psi before and it still runs good. that was a freak accident too. i had turned the boost controller too lower the boost all the way, but i turned it the wrong way. i have a 2bar gauge and it said 2bar at like 3800. and it was still climbing. and this isnt a small turbo either. this is a bb turbonetics t72. that is about 70pounds of air per minute so it was alot of power that was being made. now that i am trying too tune it for the street the car is giving me fits though. i even went as far as putting the stock fuel injectors back in so i can take it on the street tonight. hopefully i will have a video up sometime this week if i can get tiago too host it.

anyone that needs any custom cams, head/intake porting/ or a complete engine let tiago and i no so we can get a price for you. and too show the quality of my engine skills READ THIS-

2 miles on new motor = over 30psi at least 10 times

severely gaswashed motor due too a bad 38# injector filled up the oilpan too the top with oil and the motor still runs

bad coolant temp sender made me overheat the motor on a 20 minute drive. boosting the hell out of it

the motor is still in perfect running order and if those things dont show quality and excellent workmanship then i dont no what does

I was going to go with some dished Ross forged pistons, Eagle connecting rods rated at 800hp designed for small block 350s, the upper intake manifold is getting ported and polished, the heads will be getting a severe porting job... I don't know what to do for a cam. I don't know exactly what rings I am going to get for it, and I'm probably going to keep the crankshaft factory. The exhaust is 3" all the way back to my flowmaster 80 series with a cutout in place of my cat converter, so the turbo is going to be breathing with ease I'm going for a street car, not an all out drag car, so it doesn't need to be able to withstand ****loads of power but I want it to be reliable. Thats why I am choosing the parts I am.

if i were you i would just get some factory small block rods liek i have. the block wont really hold too much more then 600hp without a race prep and those rods will handle plenty if they are prepped right. i can work something with the cam for you that will work excellent with the turbo and still be streetable.

also if i were you and you plan on running a cutout, i would keep the cat and run the cutout as close too the turbo as possible. this way you will benefit more from the cutout because it is a straighter shot too the atmosphere for the exhaust.

good luck with the kit bro,

For the rods -- yeah, I would but I cant find any that match in size down at the bottom, I find the right length but none that wont need narrowed unless I go with aftermarket Eagle rods for SBCs

that is a sideclearence issue that i wouldnt really want too be honest with you. if you have exxessive side clearence, you are going too have low oil pressure and minimal oil lubrication on the cylinnder walls. i think you meant too say that you found the small journal rods. not thinner ones ;)

I find 2.1" Journals (stock SBC rods), I cannot find stock ones with a 2.0".... But I DO find Eagle Rods (5.700" and 2.000") all the time that are rated to handle 650-800 horsepower. (Price varies ofcourse)

i have several sets of stock small journal rods in house. alot of the engines i build dont utilize a smalll journal crank so the rods are pretty much useless in them. they are good rods nonetheless, jsut that i dont need them all the time. i can set you up with a set if you would like. it will save you alot of money!!
