Why did my S/C got louder?

The weather here in Cali. has gotten crazy. It was on the 60's and then it got to be as hot as 90 for a couple of days. I live in a semi arid area and so it gets really hot here. Anyway I notice that the sound of my supercharger got louder. It is almost as loud as my muffler. People are starting to look at me and a corvette guy yesterday asked me what I got under the hood.

I don't know if this good. I prefer the way it was before: low sharp whistling sound. I step on it and the car does run fast so nothing change in performance. But that loud sound concerns me. What do you guys think?

Maybe it's the belt.. try cleaning it with a little belt dressing.. also check the intake pipe that goes from the blower into the motor and make sure there are no holes or loose connections anywhere. How does the car idle? Is it rough or normal?

Was it on the hot or cold day it did it or started doing it?

No, it's not a shot bearing or anything. But I did thought about that. Performance and everything is the same so I know the blower is not damage or anything.

I did follow Shirl's advice and just cleaned everything: Tubes, inlets, and such with a carb cleaner. I cleaned the K&N FIPK and dressed up the belt It's a good thing I kept the MAF screen on cause even that was dirty.

Well it is good again and I think it even run better now. The weather got cooler too so it might have made some difference. Thanks guys. [img]graemlins/burnout.gif[/img]
