  • PowerDyne charger kit

I'm thinking about saving up for the Powerdyne charger kit for my 2000 Camaro. I'm just curious, as I've had varying opinions on this. Since the charger will only be pushing no more then 7psi, it wouldn't be necessary to do any rebuilding of the engine to withstand the extra pressure, would it? I wouldn't wanna hurt my baby, but on the other hand, I wouldn't wanna spend a ton of extra money rebuilding the engine if I don't need to.

edit: also, what kind of HP gains would I be looking at running it at 6psi? i don't know if i'd want to run it at 9psi as that would be even more stressful on the engine. also i read about the "project procharger" that batman and tealv6 are supposed to be working on, although the url (/projeftprocharger) doesn't work. anyone have any info on that?

No you do not need to rebuild the engine or anything like that for 6psi Of course a SC will put extra wear and tear on the motor so having a stronger motor will not hurt but not necessary. Shirl has ran her blown v6 for a very long time with out problems.

6psi is about 60-70hp at the tires I believe

I am selling my v6 powerdyne kit
