Thats a good idea to get a pcm with 3.42's already programmed but the car will still only go up to 118 mph before the limiter kicks in. I know the car has more power than 118 mph. Ive seen 140 mph on my GPS system when the SCU was working correctly.

I may try that but right now Im leaning more towards a custom computer from 3800 performance to just deleat the govener all together and get my fuel and everything perfect. Even today they said my fuel was still way to rich , They said I was running a 9-1 I beleave. DECISIONS DECISIONS.

I had zzp do my pcm. Worked out good but with the shift kit and vette servo this shifts were too hard. The computer programming increased tranny line pressure even more and started causing me some problems. If you have this shift kit already I would tell them to just leave the tranny pressure alone. I took out my shift kit and now it shifts nice with just the programming.

The people that actually do the programing is not zzp. Digital Horsepower does it. I have been talking with them about my car and they want to do a custom tune on their dyno with it so they can better adjust my air fuel. Problem is the shop is in Michigan so I will be doing a few more mods before I take it all the way there.

Hey Laron that is still pretty good. It's awesome how boost comes immediately. I've learned alot now from your post. So thanks.

Sorry about SMC, should have responded right away. Yeah, I wouldn't bag the SMC because of my experience. Back then the product was plain and not good. It was meant for turbo with medium to high boost. Ofcourse mine was low boost. So it wasn't very effective. The head unit was catching water and all, I guess air pressure at low boost didn't deliver it right away.

I got mine really cheap but in a last couple of years the owner had redesigned it to be more efficient and better than ever. I would go for it. Just tell him that you have a SC and what boost your running. Good luck.

Thanks for your replys.....Kool , I didnt know someone else on here with a powerdyne already had a zzp pcm.

Happy I didnt install my Trango shift kit yet. Ill be selling that soon. As far as your air fuel mix being off just do what Im gonna do. Just go to your local pet store and pick up an adjustable T connecter. 2 sides connect the lines together and the third opening can be adjusted to open and close at your desire. This will alow you to control how much air is going from your powerdyne to your FMU. You have the third opening fully closed shut and all the air will go to your fmu wich will probaly have you running rich. Open the third opening all the way and you will probaly be letting off 75% of the air before it reaches your FMU and probaly result in you running lean.

Play with that T connector on your next dyno and let them tell you when the air /fuel is adjusted correctly to get you the most power. I have somthing similar now but I just used a PCV valve that got my pressure to exactly 70 psi under 6 pounds of boost. The problem is that it is not adjustable and now Im running 10 pounds vrs 6 so Im now running rich again. You can find the adjustable T valve in the fish section at most pet stores. It's a much easier rout than trying out new FMU's.

Hey Thor....... Im defiently not dismissing the SMC. I have read many good things about it on www.TurboBuick.com . Plus at the time you were probaly running anywhere from 4-6 pounds with it right? Thats mild boost for a kit that back then was mainly desighned for grand nationals that could spool to 10 pounds at the line and then hit 25 psi before the end of the 1/4 mile. Now we have several people getting 10 pounds from there powerdynes on this board so it should work out fine.....

Ill just make sure my spray nozzle is pointing directly into the throttle body and as close to it as possible.HE HE. If anything Ill just use water instead of alcohal. Your SMC must have been spraying alot! Even with only 2 pounds of boost I was having my hand pushed back from the air when I removed my outlet pipe!

Hopefully from your imformation Ill be able to get the zzp pcm and SMC all worked out. Thanks Guys...........PS. AINT I WEIRD? I SLOULD BE SPENDING MY MONEY ON HEADERS AND MAKING MY EXHAUST COMPLETE. I always do things backwards. I dont know.....I guess headers and exhaust just really arent that exciting depsite the gains I would probaly get.....OH WELL LATERZ

Well to get back on topic the car is making 91/2 pounds in first gear, 10 pounds in 2nd gear and drops down to 5 and builds up in third gear. By the time I hit my speed limiter at 96 mph the psi in 3rd gear is about 4-5 pounds. Im sure it would build up to 10 pounds if I could remove the speed limiter.

Im happy now.... I just read Eds powerdyne report on his site and with 5 psi at 5000 rpm's he made 209 rwhp. Thats about right since with 4-5 psi in third gear I made 207 rwhp at 4800 rpm's. It dosent matter that in first and second gear I make 10 pounds of boost. The readings are only on my third gear pull. Unfortunetly because my car can only reach 4-5 psi in third gear with the speed limiter kicking in at 4800 the car wont be able to make more boost than this in third till I get rid of the speed limiter.

That explains why my 3rd gear peak numbers remained at 207 rwhp when going from the 6 pound to 10 pound pully. Even though I have way more boost in first and second gear with the new pully, the third gear boost numbers are still roughly the same. Since neighter the 6 pound pully or 10 pound pully can max out there boost level due to the speed limiter.

I'm surprise that your dipstick doesn't pop. Mine sometimes pops around 8 psi.

I think you should go for a BOV now. Just to be in a safe side. I have Typhoon and its working great. The blower feels alot cooler.

Dyno is only half of the story. Congrats Laron.
