  • MSD Inline Electric Fuel Pump?

I plan on updating my fuel system before turning up the wick.

I'm planning on getting an msd inline fuel pump instead of walbro intank. Ofcourse I prefer intank but I've been told by a certifide smog expert that I might fail smog if I have one installed. With the Inline fuel pump I could just simply remove it when it's time and have it back to stock again in no time.

This will replace my Boost A Pump. Any feedback? Positive or negative things about Inline pump?

I know they are noisy and they tend to increase the temp. of the fuel that's being deliver to the engine. But what do you guys say before I go for it.

Do I need MAFT+ for this too?

    Thanks

I run these inline high pressure pumps in my kits, they are good quality. You can hear it running when you turn it on. If you wire it to a switch you can just turn it on when u want and otehrwise keep it off for gas mileage/smog.

Thanks for posting. So if its on constantly, it's ok but gas mileage goes down? How much richer will it get?

I like that idea of a switch. I will go for that so when it's time for smog I could just turn off the switch. Awesome, thanks.

I'm still getting 28mpg on the highway with it on. I haven't figured out how much in the city yet but I would guess it will stay about the same unless you get on it a lot.
