  • Question on the l67 3800

    ok are the internals on the gtp engine forged
    or are they the same as my camaros 3800......
    can i swap the componits if they are the forged

    They are different. GTP has low compression pistons, forged crank, better rings and so on.

      Pistons and rods are not forged, but are a little stronger and also have 8.5:1 cr instead of 9.4:1 as Mighty Thor said. There cranks are not forged though, they are the same as L36s.

          They're not 'better' enough than the L36 to really be worth the time/money involved in doing a swap, IMO.
