What are the best and most reasonably priced spark plugs for my powerdyne supercharged camaro. Also, what is the reasoning for regapping the plugs to .035 like the RKSport instructions tell you to do. I this necessary, does doing this reduce spark knock or is there another reason.
Thanks in advance for the info.

The ngk TR6 are TWO heat ranges colder than our stock plugs. this reduces the chance of predetonation.
The smaller gap (.035 suggested) as opposed to (.060) is to reduce the chance that the spark will be blown out due to the high compression in the cylinders. (at 5pis boost your piston cylinder is now running with 14.4 compression ratio vs. 9.4 compression ratis (stock)
This much higher compression ratio is why you need to run high octane (premium) fuel. It is also why the kit comes with a timing retard system. The higher compression in the cylinders means timing must either be retarded or super high octane gas must be used. High octane gas burns 'slower' than lower octane gas. it can yield more emissions if it is used in an improperly tuned vehicle as opposed to using regular gas in a car tuned for regular.
I don't use any timing retard on my 6psi set up. i do use premium fuel and the ngk tr6 gapped to .035. I did have to re gap them to get them down to .035. If you can get away with longer gap then that is fine...but if you car starts to misfire the computer will start pulling timing.

Thanks guys, Maybe that is why car bogs down under boost soemtimes because my miss fires are pulling timming.

I ordered the ngk tr6's yesterday and recieved them today and i Checked the gap on them and they were pre gapped at .032. Is this good enough or do they need to be gapped to .035. Can who ever responds give me a reason for either way just for my knowledge. Thanks alot

That's exactly what I have. Mine was so poorly shipped from Tbyrne that the gap on a couple of them was messed up a little bit and have to regap them to .032.
Is .032 good if I am running 9psi and if not what would having the smaller gap do?

So my truck is finally getting some work done, after 17 years, Oil pressure sensor went out and it’s located under the lower intake manifold. Have to...
