ive heard of the supercharger kit u were coming up with.....hows that coming? really interested. is the only way to have a supercharger thats worth the money is to do a custom one cause rksport makes a kit and its worthless. adds like i think 63hp

actuallyt he powerdyne supercharger kit was bad to start off with.. and 63 hp on non intercooled boost @6-8 psi is pretty good.
now that they figured knew ways to wrap the belt, and special groovs for the pullies, slipping is very hard to come by.
i'd say if you added an intercooler for the powerdyne, it will be producing pretty damn good numbers for the price of the kit
96 Camaro M5. Dark metallic gree (?dont know the offical color name)<br />Home made Intake :: Headers, 3inch headers back to Flowmaster muffler :: spec stage 3 clutch Now installed, waiting for 3.42\'s and LSD next month<br /><a href=\"http://photobucket.com/albums/y192/RiceEatingCamaro/?action=view¤t=newcar.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">My Car</a> <br /><br />Totalled Car.<br /><a href=\"http://bellsouthpwp.net/s/k/sk8er305/\" target=\"_blank\">96 CamaroRS</a>
Do you realize that the average stock 3.8 dynos between 150 and 170 rwhp. On average thats 160 rwhp.
Now lets say you have the average 160 rwhp 3.8 camaro and you buy a powerdyne that gives you only 5-6 psi and a extra 60 rwhp.
160rwhp+60rwhp=220 rwhp.
60+160= a 35% power increase from only 6 pounds of hot air.
Heres the real Question.
Do you think all the people with powerdynes are running 14 flats with only 220rwhp????????
An LS1 needs about 285 rwhp to run ONLY 3 tenths better while only weighing 100 pounds more than a powerdyned v6.
Youd have to be putting down atleast 240 to the wheels to be running between 13.9 and 14.2 like almost all the powerdyne people are doing.
Show me how you can get 60 rwhp with only 1000$.
This will be my next mod.....
Dont listen to hype.....READ FACTS...Look at powerdyne dynos. Then say how you feel.
Yes I would rather have an intercooled kit any day over the non intercooled powerdyne....But 60-100 rwhp that everyone gains from the powerdyne is not as bad as you make it seem.
IT ONLY TAKES AN ADDITIONAL 80 RWHP TO GET A 50% GAIN FROM OUR ENGINES.With 7 psi this is obtainable with the powerdyne and roughly exactly right. 6 psi SHOULD net you a 50 % gain, just as 14 psi should roughly net you a 100 percent gain.
i think he forgot the ? on the end of that statement.

Exactly how?.. For P&P'd heads and a cam installed with a mini AFC or a Hyper tech to correct your A/F you are over $1000 easy. Explain your theory, it's definitely not a hypothesis, as you definitely don't seem well educated on this matter at all.

NOS kit is only like $550. it has a 85 hp jet included in the kit. he said he could do it. it probably wouldnt be the best way, AND he didnt say how. the 5175 would definately do it, but it just wouldnt be as good as if he spent the rest of the $450 on a window switch, and other safty mods. other than a sc or tc, nitrous is the only other way of getting results like that with only a $1000 budget.

Well I was thinking without Nitrous... :D .. A turbo or supercharger setup is going to run at least $2700 to $3000, and that's not including the supporting mods. A good nitrous setup with all necessary components is going to run close to $1000 if not over, especially if he can't install it himself.

Yeah, but........the turbo or supercharger is there ALL of the time. You don't have to worry about trying to heat a bottle (as quickly as possible, which is never quick), when you pull up next to a fast car on the street. Plus a blower looks damn good sitting in front of the motor when you pop the hood ;)
i agree... forced induction is MUCH MUCH better! ive experienced nitrous on my car... and ya, ill go with fi anyday! nothin against nitrous... i would just rather the power be there all the time. funny story, i was racin this CRX one night, and he had done a swap to a modded acura 1.3l. well, i had him all the way through. well, he rolls up to me at the next light and says "you wanna go again?" then purged his line. i was like "nope, you shoulda used it the first time!" and drove off. of course he just HAD to go faster, but to me, id rather have the power there at all times.
