What contacts a rubber belt the best. Yep you guessed it rubber so how hard would it be to get the pully rubber coated.

lol, kris the side of the belt that hits the pulley is not rubber, its cloth or something.

if you coudl get a belt with teeth on both sidees, that would help ;)

Does belt dressing temporarily cure the problem?

Belt dressing seems to help me. I just use the stuff from napa. It makes the belt sticky and seems to build up boost faster. I have seen 9lbs many times using belt dressing. It does wear off pretty quick but would be enough to get a few track runs in and then squirt some more on.

i talked to the guys at gates belts and they are working on developing a doubled sided ribbed belt in many different sizes lets just hope one of them fits our cars that should take compleate care of our problem with belt slipping.

A double sided ribed belt alone wont solve the problem. You are going to have a ribed belt running on a smooth pulley, you are going to have to change the supercharger pulley to a groved pulley. Also i think the water pump pully is smooth and i thought one more pulley is run off the smooth side, this means those would have to be switched to groved pulleys as well. You can get a groved supercharger pulley from powerdyne but i guess you would have to take the other pulleys into a machine shop and have them make you a custom groved pulley.

I am just not gonna run the belt down to the AC that will make the belt wrap around the supercharger pully.
