As much as you can give it until it blows up.

I know that stock 3.8's can safely take up to 9lbs with the FMU. I think it all depends on your injector size. I'm not too sure about a 3.4 though. The kit usually has a 6lb. pully, I'm pretty sure that would be ok. If your talking sc. I don't have a clue on the turbo's.

The answer is nobody knows. No one has broken an L36 or an L32 due to power production alone.

I run 10psi everyday on my compleatly internally stock daily driver 3.4 with 219,800 miles. I've never even had the valve covers or lower intake off. I've been running it this way for at least a year.
A couple of times the boost controller wasn't working right and it shot up to 15+, but that was only as long as my reaction time to let off the throttle. So no harm done.

I would highly recommend it. I did build it myself too. As long as you read up on a lot of what they have out there for it(such as the megamanual: http://www.msefi.com/msinfo/manual/mtabcon.htm ) you should be able to work through it. It's really awesome to be able to adjust fuel and spark. I also have a LC-1 innvovative wideband sensor so now I can tell exactly what A/F ratio I'm running and can adjust for it at whatever running condition I want. The megasquirt will also do A/F ratio targeting where you can set it to follow certain ratios at whatever condition, baised on RPM and MAP/boost.

I'm running a V2.2 board with the MS-I processor and some custom code that has been developed for it that gives you things like cooling fan control, knock sensing retard, boost control, etc. It's called megasquirt-n-spark-extra: http://megasquirt.sourceforge.net/extra/index.html

And the best part is that it's super cheap! You can get a ready to assemble kit for $140 from here: www.glensgarage.com

This is for fuel only and you just have to wire it into your exsisting sensors, injectors, etc. I ran like that for a while and had the stock computer control timing. Then I spent a little more($60-$80, mostly on junkyard parts) and set it up to control ignition as well. It uses a ford EDIS system w/ a crank trigger. But there is work being done to make it control the GM DIS system on our cars.
