This almost sounds like a 'tuning' flame war concerning the stock 02 sensors and the A/F ratio. I would like to mention in case it has been missed by anyone in this thread that the use of the auto tap to read the engines a/f ratio on stock sensors is for 'general' FMU ratio calibration if an adjustable fmu was present...not for advanced tuning with software based 'ultimate' a/f ratio settings. The stock 02 settings do work or else the cars would all melt down after just a few full throttle runs.
We're basically on the same page. I've been recommending an adjustable FMU for about a week now. Autotap isn't for "fine tuning" obviously, but it will improve the problems he has now bigtime. I think it's difficult for him though (or anyone for that matter) to take advice over the internet like this because there are always going to be various opinions on how things can be done. Does anyone know what his TR6 is set at???

BTW, he's running so rich at idle that there are misfires. We're talking about a car that can barely run, nevermind go wot. So WOT readings aren't that important if the car barely runs.

well my TRC is set @ 3 clicks and every click is 2* so it is 6*
I was told to take the TRC out of the system and see if it runs better so I did and it has been running fine for 3 days now but I am kinda worried that it night ness something up the altitude here is 4800ft and the guys I go to the track with told me that at this altitude I dont really need the TRC hooked up as long as I use 91 octane which is the best we get around here....What so you guys think

Keep it off the car. Do more logs on autotap and call me in the morning... ;) btw, it's 2* per psi of boost. So it's 12* per each click. I was thinking about you this morning (and I added more to this reply just now)... If my calculations are correct, you are pulling 36* of timing!!!! Rather than taking the TR6 out altogether, justset it on "0" and log a couple runs.
