  • 1/4 Din electronics....

I wasnt sure if this is th right place for this, but here it goes:

Alot of turbo electronics (turbo timers, a/f ratio controllers, etc.) are 1/4 din. I have seen a kit that allows you to mount 2 1/4 dins one on top of the other, and a mini guage in a 1 din slot. Here's my question:

If you put two 1/4 din's side by side, does that equal a 1/2 din unit? That way, I can get a head unit for my stereo, and put two turbo electronics in. Thanks.

I am pretty sure not. If you look at the adapter kits the 1/4 dins are a little wider than 1/2 lenth of a din slot. The adapter stack the two 1/4 din units and have just enough room on the ohter side for a tiny gauge or something like that.
