ok man.. I have seen more random FI questions from you in the last couple weeks than I thought humanly possible.
Define "custom" kit. Your question is unanswerable unless someone just wants to give you their opinion of which company's s/c they happen to like better. If your going to custom build the kit you can run anything you want as long as your willing to pay for it. If you have a specific kit in mind e-mail the retailer and ask for specifics. If you have a specific supercharger in mind, e-mail the manufacturer and ask for specifics. If you have to clue, go talk to a shop that will make this "custom" kit for you and see what they are willing to do.00\' firebird v6 5spd<br />201rwhp ---- 230 rwtq<br />\"Everyday I grow stronger...and further from you.\"<br />WARNING: Do not take any of my comments seriously unless they are technical in nature and then only at your own risk

Probably because they are intercooled.. Do some reasearch on both companies and their products. You can compare that way.2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph

anything can be intercooled. Like I said you need to be more specific on the kit your talking about. One side of your question was a "custom" kit the other side was just a kit. So I'll go ahead and answer your question by saying go for the custom one lol.00\' firebird v6 5spd<br />201rwhp ---- 230 rwtq<br />\"Everyday I grow stronger...and further from you.\"<br />WARNING: Do not take any of my comments seriously unless they are technical in nature and then only at your own risk

I think he wants a straight forward answer.
Overall, ATI is a better Kit than Powerdyne. PD is still an improving kit. But ATI is over a thousand dollars more than PD.
PD will deliver the boost that your stock engine can handle. But ATI can go further in boost once the engine has been forged, check Stephan's Virus.
But PD is better than ATI in low and medium boost. It also has alot less parasitic lost at the crank.
ATI is rated up to 30 psi while BD-11a is rated at 12 psi (which becomes unreliable). PD's XB-1a is rated up to 25 psi. not intercooled.
ATI has high gear whine sound. While PD has a low sound whine from the shaft.
No more slippage problem for PD like in the past and the reliability of new ones are about the same as the ATI. Mine is a little over 5 years now and no problem so far.

I hit the dyno and the track with my Powerdyne. I was only running the 6lb pulley but I did throw a 50 shot of nitrous on top of the boost.
Results were: 339 RWHP and 444 RWTQ
I was pleased with the numbers considering I have no tuning (not even a MAFT) and the air/fuel ratio was all over the place.
Next day I went to the track with the same setup and ran a 12.9 @ 107 on a 1.96 60'.
This is part of an ongoing test. Next is to dyno N/A for a baseline and then the Mach ATI kit will go on for the final dyno. These will be back to back dynos with no other mod changes between for good comparisons of the 2 kits and also to get before and after results of the Mach kit.Michael Huff<br />92 RS, 98 V6, 97 SS, 00 Z28 <br /> <a href=\"http://www.carolinafbodyclub.com/\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.carolinafbodyclub.com/</a>

Nice numbers Iron man. Im sad that your switching over to the ATI. Not that thats a bad thing.... But I would have really love to seen what kida numbers you could have put down with the 10 pound pully some of us now have plus the 50 shot. Probaly could be very close to 400 rwhp.
Good luck with the ATI numbers!!!!!!Powerdyne 98 a4 convert<br /><br /> stock 16.6 @ 86 <br /> <br /> 6 lbs boost 15.1 @ 90 <br /> <br /> 04 A4 2.73 geared white Corvette Coupe<br /> <br /> stock- 13.5 @ 103 <br /><br />LS6 conversion-13.1 @ 107 <br /> <a href=\"http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98\" target=\"_blank\">http://members.cardomain.com/greenglow98</a> ( pics of intercooled powerdyne)

this is all good,at first i was going to go with powerdyne, but as a dealer i came across a lt1 kit from ati with a twinflow intercooler and any choice of psi from 8 to 15.this leaves room for updating the engine at a later date to handle anything over 12.im most impressed to see that shirl ran 11s on stock internals with her pwerdyne and nos.thats motivation to run 10 psi and add a 100 shot for track only use without having to worry about tearing down the engine right now....99 3.8 a4,Xenon kit, eagle 077,wingswest wing, halo headlights,gen3 altezzas, clearlenses,SLP flowpac,Predator ram air hood,RKsport carbon grille,POS flowmaster 3in catback,160 hypertech 160stat <a href=\"http://www.thenebula.com/carpics/pics3/MVC-015S.JPG\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.thenebula.com/carpics/pics3/MVC-015S.JPG</a>

So what are you going to do with your current powerdyne kit? Is it for sale?

Aargh!
So what were your results with JUST THE POWERDYNE???
That's you AND Shirl now. I don't care and I don't think any Powerdyne owner cares what the car puts out with nitrous... what was it JUST with the Powerdyne? Please tell me you did at least one dyno pull with no juice...

What do you mean that's ME and him? I have no dyno #'s, just track #'s. That's what counts. Dyno don't mean jack if you can't run the car at the track. Hey, that rhymed... 2004 CE Corvette 10.86@132mph
