  • Do you think we could make this NOVI adapt to our RWD cars.

I can see a little bit of a clearance problem. But the SC is front engine reverse mount with the pulley facing the engine. What's cool about it is that the pulley has cog teeth and uses a cog belt. There is no way a belt can slip on this one.

I contacted ZZ performance and asked them it this kit was adaptable and they said it was not. However I have been interested in using the NOVI 1000 for some time and I plan to make one fit in the future. I believe a NOVI 1000 CCW installed using the accessory belt between the tensioner and the water pump by creating an additional loop of the belt will work well. The CCW model will have the pulley facing aft and the inlet forward. The folks at ZZ performance can supply some of the parts such as oiling lines and fuel management, but we will have to make the bracketry and mounting

I also contacted ZZP they said it will not work. I did not ask them if it was adaptable with modification. I dont see how that engine could be much different. If the mounting bracket will work I see no problem re routing the intake piping. But im no expert.

On that supercharger kit, it is spun of a belt which is at the other end of the engine. In our situation, we wouldn't be able to use any of the brakets, and maybe none of the tubing.

You also would not be able to have a set up like stephan either where the supercharger is infront of the engine. The propeller would be spinning the wrong way then. You would have to have it ontop or next to the engine.

I think you would be better off just getting the supercharger unit itself the fabricate brackets and the plumbing. If you want to have the supercharger infront of the engine, facing it, you would have to get the compressor housing flipped, probably from the factory.
