    Try to find a used powerdyne for under $2000. If possible find the bd11a model. It is superior to the bd10 and bd11.

    This kit has been proven to drop your ET 1-1.5 seconds on a stock vehicle. It has also been proven to dyno 210 rwhp on a stock v6 with 5 pounds of boost. It has also been proven to dyno 260 rwhp with 8.5 pounds of boost on a stock vehicle.

    This is currently the cheapest proven forced induction kit. Prices for complete kits have been seen as low as $1700.

        i can get an ati p1sc supercharger with a twinflow intercooler with your choice or psi from 8 to 15 for 2450 new....let me know...only thing is its for an lt1,but whoever installs it should have no problem adapting it,its been done already...brand new...3500 for a non intercooled,6 psi powerdyne is outrageous..

          The powerdyne is already fitted for the 3.8. By the time you get someone to fabricate the ATI kit, you'll be spending that (or more) in parts and labor to get it to work.

            at dealer cost i get it for 1900,from that to 3500 plus the cost of an intercooler,fabricating the ati could never reach the cost of a powerdyne.but i do agree it is nice to just bolt and go,plus a intercooler isnt really needed for the powerdyne anyway.your not using one right shirl?theres alot of choices here,and im not knocking powerdyne at all.
            for me,im going with the ati i mentioned due to the way lower cost,and mostly because i can have a 8 to 15 psi range to play with if i should decide to tear down the engine at a later date for forged internals.

              I sort of don't agree with you. I think it will cost you well over a thousand more than PD once it's been said and done. Custom brackets, tubings and fittings for our V6 can be very costly.

              But I am willing to apologize if you prove me wrong.

                  I dont know man.....6 months I would have agreed with you. But now there are a few of us running 10 pounds of boost with our powerdynes. Thats pretty much the 8-15 pounds you were talking about. Some people are running 13 pounds with this same supercharger. So the boost dosent count any more unless you go forged. The powerdyne can put out more boost than our stock ingine can handle. Im currently seeing 10 psi all day long.

                  As for pricing. The most recent powerdyne purchase on this board was John_D.

                  Price=$1700

                  10 pound grooved asp pully=$125

                  John_D power rap=FREE

                  Install=CAN be done your self or pay professional(I personally paid $350 for my install) John_D did his him self.

                  Results= 10 pounds of boost with no slippidge.

                  As you can see he got 10 pounds of boost for only $1825. THATS A GREAT DEAL

                  I PAID $2200 + 350 FOR INSTALL + $125 FOR NEW PULLY. Thats a total of $2575. Also not bad for 10 pounds of boost.

                  Now look at what your proposing to get roughly 10 pounds of boost. $2450 just for the kit. Then you have to custom EVERYTHING to adapt brackets and piping to our v6 engine. This could easily be $500-$1500 additional dollars. If someone could make this work for under 3 grand Id be surprised. Theres so much more to it to make it happen vrs the powerdyne wich is simply bolt and go. NOW I WOULD NEVER PAY 4 GRAND FOR A POWERDYNE!!!!but my COMPARISON IS BASED ON A used POWERDYNE.

                  The only thing you got me on is the intercooler...I just recently ordered everything I need for my intercooler project off ebay and my total price for the intercooler+piping+silicone connecters+tbolt clamps came out to $502.

                  When you add everthing up.....

                  powerdyne kit=$2200
                  new grooved pully=$125
                  installation=$350
                  intercooler=$500

                  It comes out to $3175. I still thank thats pretty good for 10 pounds of intercooled boost.

                    I had to post this......Id rather use that 3 grand on a turbo kit from TIAGO than soup up a powerdyne or customize an ATI. Thank about it. When you go through Tiago you can email the man who made the kit anytime and you know he really cares about his work. Unlike powerdyne or ATI.Hell actually help you. Hell... He even awnswers my emails and Im his arch enemy. He he

                      and if you get in on a GP only 2600 bucks, and the turbo can push way more then 10 lbs, it can support 600 HP should push near 25-30lbs depending on mods

                      BTW its that 10lbs after the intercooler or before, most inter coolers get a 2 lb PSI drop

                        all very valid points,but I pay 1900 and some change for the ati.It would sure be nice to get a USED powerdyne for that much,but they seem to be a dime a dozen.
                        im hoping the fab end of the ati wont be too big a pia.ill keep you posted either way.....

                        i heard powerdynes are quiet?

                          Yea they are quiet. I usualy hear a swooshing sound rather than a whistle. But then again I wear hearing aids in both ears so what do I know.

                          BUT... When Im outside of the car and having it dynoed it IS FREAKIN LLLOOOUUUDDD!!!!!!ALL YOU CAN HEAR IS THE WHISTLE AND NOT EVEN THE MOTOR. But the ATI has a whistle at all times from what I hear.

                            Unedited and incomplete. Deals with the P600B, the P1SC would be a LOT easier. Only difference regarding install is the mounting bracket has bolt holes in slightly offset positions and you can disregard any references to oil lines.

                            ATI won't help you but we will--if you're serious about it. ;)

                            EDIT: And just my $0.02 but I would never buy a used supercharger...

                              thanks stefan,i read that entire page.very informative,i am however now very p off.it seems my supplier changed the pricing of the ati p1sc kit for an lt1,so much for getting it for 1900,not itll cost me 2700,still not a bad price,but the install fee is what determines if its worth it or not.

                              i would however,take this page you have and give it to him as a reference guide so he cant try and rip me a new one.thanks for the info,i skipped the section where it details tapping into the oil pan,since the p1sc for the lt1 is a self contained unit,is that why you say its easier than the p6000?
