if you are going to spend 2700 on an lt1 kit, why not spend the extra 800-900 on a brand new ati kit made for the v6?

You speak of how easy it is to adapt the kit from one car to another- I had to adapt a powerdyne from one year v6 to another year v6 and it was still an enourmous hassle.

Also, supreme6, you seem to have no concept of research and development. Like all of the time and money that was spent on deveolping Batman's ati kit. You seem to think that people should only have to pay for the parts in the kit and nothing else.

If this were true, prescription medicine would only cost 3 dollars a bottle.

ill again correct you...1900 was MY cost,2700 to you or anyone else, but thats out the window now due to the dealer changing the price.I research everything BEFORE buying,as im not rich,so i like to do things once and get my moneys worth.

i never said anything about adapting an ati being easy, and it seems to me your talking straight out your a*s,im just now hearing about the development of the ati kit for our cars, and dont know if its on the market yet or not,if it was and i knew about it,why the f***k would i be looking at an lt1 kit?

The ATI kits for v6s are around 4 grand so 2700 isn't bad at all for the v8 one and just get some fab work done to make it work, unless it costs another grand or so to fab. If you can fab yourself then the v8 would be the way to go i think.

exactly, the fab cost is what determines its worth.its the best bet for someone who can do it themselves, saving themself money, but since i dont have the tools, space or time,it might be the same to just get the v6 kit,who/where are they sold?are they available yet?im weighing between this and tiagos turbo kit....

Thats an easy one. Get the turbo kit from Tiago. I dont care what anyone says....It's easier for a turbo to keep a consistent 20 psi of boost than a supercharger. If you eventualy want to go over 12 pounds of boost then a powerdyne is defiently not a good choice, thats about there max. Then again sure the ati's are rated up what 27 pounds or so? But Id like to see someone get that pully to actually maintain 27 pounds on our car.

Stephan is currently doing a 15 psi project. Im pretty confident that he will be able to get the 15 pounds or atleast one bar.....But no matter what supercharger on what system the boost WILL SLIP DOWN A POUND OR SO.

On the other hand there are many people on this board who have seen 14 pounds OR MORE on there turbos. Some have already seen in the 20's. There boost went down because they chose to bring it down, not because of slippidge.

A 15 pound pully is very small.....Imagine a 20 pound pully. I dont care if the pully runs off the grooved side of the belt or not. That kind of boost will be very hard to maintain on a supercharger.

Just go check out www.superchargersonline.com and look at the powerdyne. Vortech and ATI boards. There are so many people who's pullies run off the smooth side of the belt that have a hard time just keeping 10 pounds of boost without slippidge. Imagine them tryng to get 15-20 pounds. A turbo seems to be able to this with little compromise.
