  • Poll: Who would be interested in turbo exhaust manifolds?

not sure if this goes here but i thought it would since im not selling anything yet....

im going to start getting a count of those who would want a set of turbo manifolds like mine....just the manifolds. For now i can only make them for the 3.8's...i dont have a 3.4 donar car to use.

Prices are a close estimate..nothing final but are gonna be close if not the same. i will make them for internal and external wastegates. with my headers you will need to remove the EGR and extend O2 sensor wires.

    $675....high heat painted

    $850....ceramic coated

kit requires too much stuff...eventually ill make a couple....but this way you can decide to intercooler it or not....intercooler piping isnt that hard....just a few bends....local shops would charge you like 300 or so for that....then the rest is up to you on what other goodies you wanna get..liek BOV, FMU, IC, ect.

this may be considered hi-jacking, but how do you MAKE a turbo kit? what is involved, what parts are needed, etc. Such as Tiago, he is making a turbo kit and later Shane may be. Because maybe someday i'll make one for my 3.1L ;) lmao

I might be interrested in being a 3.4 doner car... Are you in FL? If so i might save up a little more.. how much would it take to complete the setup? Time is not a problem either. Let me know. Thanks,

well by the time you get around to doing this I could proably afford it, though to be honest I'd like to be able to hook my EGR back up and my o2 sensors so I'd likely perfer to have them uncoated so I can go in and add a the o2 bungs and some kind of egr adapter.. unless you already added them of course..

on a side note how do these affect the plug changing process?

and one other thing you have a center piece on yours that the turbo bolts to, would that be included also?

honestly to start with I would just like to mimic your setup because basically we have the same car except yours is just a 97 and mine is a 98, while the PCM's are aparently different the mechanicals of the powertrain itself seem to be almost exactly the same..

anyway that is something to start with.. like I said having them completely uncoated is fine and if you were to include everything I listed I think 850 would be reasonable for fully coated

If I were to do a turbo I would be interested... those look 100 times better then other 3.8 V6 headers I've seen.
