i had the same problem.....i just got some sheet steel, cut out two plates, drill a couple holes, put some liquid gasket on them and bolt them on.

but i used too thin of metal and it warped on the header side so i gotta make a thicker one...it took me about 15 minutes

ok so wait are you just crating a gaket around where the egr tube connects to the header..or are you saying remove the whole egr tube and place the metal sheets on the openings in order to seal?

Yah, making a plate to block off the header. This is what I think he is talking about... http://www.zzperformance.com/products1.php?id=229
They have a plate for the intake too, on the dropdown list for 5 bucks.

yeah u can completly remove the egr if u want i just took all the piping and everything off and left just the electronics on the car so i wouldnt get a code.

I have my EGR delete kit for sale if you want! (see FS section). Not necessary for turbos, but I liked the idea of sealing up the intake manifold very well for running boost.

But, the PCV mod should be your top priority. That's a free one too ...

You're probably going to think this is ridiculous, but I used aluminum from a soda can to block off the intake portion of the EGR for a few days. No problems. Just used the stock EGR fitting, soda can, and some RTV sealant.
