For the Powerdyne set up I have read some people put there IAT sensor in the intake and some put it in the discharge. Can someone tell me where the is best place and why? Does it really make that much difference where it is? Right now I have it in the intake but doing research I started thinking it might be better off in the discharge tube.
Modifications:<br />headers, throtle bod spacer, flowmaster, high flow magnaflow carsound cat, powerdyne sc with 2.9\" pulley and by-pass valve, walboro 255 fuel pump, spec stage 2 clutch, and HP Tuners
IAT should be as close to the Throttle body as possible. I drilled and reamed a hole in my discharge tube...near the TB. I used the IAT grommet from a V8 air lid. works perfectly. YOu could also try to use a standard grommet...a big one...from a hardware store. the actual AIT sensor un plugs and can be pulled out in order to take into a hardware store to find a grommet for it. I have pictures of my intake and discharge tubing on my site.
