• Intense STS Turbo Kits

I don't want to start a flame war, but I think that this deserves some serious attention and merit!

I would have never guessed that the Intense Kit was going to be remote mounted. Now a company that supports our engines has done its homework!
They got dyno and track times to back up their claim. I am glad that they have proved it can be done and done well on a 3800. Anybody wanna be they will bring them out for the V6 Fbody? :D

Well there's never been any doubt about it not working for us.

100 rwhp gain at 9 psi. Is pretty good. If it's intercooled it will do even better.

STS has been in the media light lately. Even import mags are making comments about it and taking notes.

The kit actually looks pretty good, although I really dont trust intenses products anymore after the failures I read about on clubgp.

The trap speeds the test car produced are pretty nice. But another close to stock grand prix gt with standard turbo setup and less boost ran 110+.

The turbo wheel only being 6" into the tailpipe is kinda scary thnough.

Grain of salt, bandwagon, fad "to each his..." but hey that is my own opinion for the "innovators"...

You pay to get products in magazines. For about $5000 you could have a big feature article just about any mag, and they'd put whatever you wanted them to put in there. One Chevy mag did an article about STS, and it read exactly like you were reading it direct from an STS salesman.

That being said, I'm soooo disappointed in Intense for jumping on that band wagon. I would have had more respect for them if they started selling FFF kits. At least those had correct turbo theory in mind when they were in the design phase.

Let's see just how far they are going to take this new product. Hopefully pricing and performance will be good enough to sell. Mr Nocutt seems to have the debate going pretty good over there.

first off that thread is about a grand prix setup...#2 the sts kits make decent power on the dyno...decent, nothing more. At the track with a bad combo they suck balls...there have been cars that gained little to nothing without the correct combo...then there are people like brent who have run mid 10's@130mph with them but he had the right combo ie heads/cam/converter...this was done in an 04 gto. Not bad but for a decked out 04 gto with heads/cam/poweradder & meth injection hardly the kind of #'s I would want, but thats me.
