• How to get more power out of your Powerdyne

I thought I share this with you guys and see what you think.

BD-11a is rated at 900 cfm. That's actually considered 560 hp potential. We know we can never really get to use the full potential of our blower.

I think our TB can't even take that much cfm anyway.

To get more power we usually go with smaller pulley. But I don't know if you guys are aware that 928Motorsport found a way to get more power without getting into smaller pulley. On top of that, it also increase the cfm efficiency and the reliability of the bearings. Usually smaller pulley decreases bearings reliability.

Sound interesting so far. Go here:

I'll wait till next year to have mine done.

Thats some good info, I know I have beat the hell out of mine in this AZ heat running 10-11 psi. But it is still going strong with about 25,000 miles on the blower.

Let me know when you're going to have yours done.

I did find one possible flaw. They need to do our drilling at a different location.

I just notice how that bolt might collide with our idler pulley.

I think I have about 10,000 miles on mine I know they last for a long time but mine has been back and forth from Michigan to Florida twice and I am about to go back to Michigan again for 3 weeks. I usually drive non stop and I am sure that the bearings get excessively hot. It will probably shorten the life of my SC in the long run especially since I am running a smaller pulley.

They have my next rebuild! I only have about 3000 miles on this rebuild. I have to find all my stock parts too, so I can drive the bird when I send it in. (Good luck Jessica). I have a 9lb pully on the waiting list to be made at ASP, their a month behind...

That's cool. I'm ordering the 2.85" too. But I will do this first before putting in the pulley.

After emission, I'm putting in the pacesetter headers as well.

Can't wait to see what the results would be.

Did you not get the little CARB plate on your pacesetters? Or just don't want to deal with it at the moment?

No I don't have CARB plate. Just the paper works for it. Thanks for telling me. I'll try and see if I could get one.

I am SO glad I do not live in CA. I am surprised they haven't outlawed four stroke engines yet.

No, I meant four, bad joke. I heard alot of bad things about the emission laws there.

yes it is that bad. I dont even have to run a cat here and you guys cant even add headers without a big hassle. Cali sucks for the automotive aftermarket. Anyway, good to here you powerdyne guys are finding new ways to make power. i'm interested to see how the added efficiency from this mod equates into hp gains.
