well, i talked to keith @ hptuners (magnus)
he is not giving up any info on when we will be able to edit that parameter like the vette guys with ls1 edit..
here are the options that i have seen..
(1)
sacrifice a code.. I some info i found in one of those vette threads or somewhere there was the requierements for the pcm to run that test.. and if you have an SES code allready set it wont run the test.. so.. the way i see it.. pull out the rear o2 sensor.. and you have an instant error code.. thus preventing the test and "ducking" the problem
the only issue with this.. is that you wont be able to tell without frequent scans if you have another error code.. which is not that great expecialy for FI..
(2)
dont run as much boost or set BOV to lower..
My theory is that when it does these calulations one is essentaly a speed density calculation on the upper intake side of the TB.. the other is an alpha (maf based) calculation on the filter/TB side of the intake path..
it only seems to happen to me between normal cruing around town type shifts..
tommarow i am gunna limp my turd of a car over to tuboXS and get a blow off valve and install it.. and see how it goes.. wit hteh BOV in theory it shuld keep pressures lower and not cause th backups that make the pcm belive something is wrong and thus set the code..
the second option is kinda a thoery.. but it seems resonable..
man i wish the people over at HP tuners would just take care of this issue.. i could care less about everything else it does wich is great.. but this is gunna be a pretty big issue for the up and comming FI people with newer cars.. i am sure its jsut beaing a pinta becuase of the heat/humidity that sumemr has broungt.. but.. its not an issue thats gunan fix itself..
good dam GM and there electric TB's..
and finaly.. keth PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE help us out.. my car is almsot not drivable with this condition.. in fact i probably shuldent be driving it.. i have given you all the research about it.. jsut lay it out there buddy
