Enough? or Too much?

if i get these parts will it be enough
or will i need all this
turbo kit, dont know which one?
dimanod pistons 8.0:1 compression
forged rods
clevite 77 berings
ARP Main Stud Kit
ARP Connecting rod bolts
ARP Head studs
MLS head gaskets
is this enough
or will i need a blower cam and stall convertor
also i want to keep my exhuaust as quite as posible
what would you sugges

Oh yea your gonna need a huge stall convertor or you won't make it past 250hp hehe

well the 8.0 compression will lower your hp unless you go forced induction (then it will allow you to run more boost). there really isnt much there on your list that will add any major hp. my suggestion is that you do some more research before you buy anything.

I don't think he was asking if those parts add HP, but rather if he gets those parts will the engine be able to withstand the HP created by the FI system.

To get all that stuff would be the right way to go. Running that much power on a stock bottem is the wrong way to go.
You could keep your stock exhaust onec you hacked it off to a certian point, but the less back pressure you have the on the down pipe side the faster you turbo will produce boost.
My suggestion is you realy need a cam to get any where close to 450hp, get your heads + intake P&P, you will need a higher stall converter for sure if you want to get it up to speed any time soon, get the hole thing balanced because a the most expensive parts arn't going to be worth crap with out a good balancing job.

I think the intake would be kind of cheap all they need to do is make it a little wider and smooth on the inside, now the heads could range form a few $100 to as much as $500. Depending on who does it and how much you want done as far power.
I do my own work and make $1000 go a long, long ways. That's a lot of money to me so I make sure I get a lot from it.
You might want a bigger TB to, I think 65mm might be a little small for 450hp.
Your stock 22lb/hr injectors will never handle that much power.
450hp from a 3.8L V6 is going to have to sound kind of mean. Maybe get a cable acuated cut out.
That way you can be loud only when needed.
Duels would be the best nonajustable exhaust system I think.
I think there are very few people here if any that pay some one else to do all the turbo building and install work for them.
Doing your own stuff I think is fun, you can learn a lot and save tons of cash.
One scam to avoid is kits of little stuff like valve train kits mainly and some small preformance packages.
They send you a package of some parts and you send them a package of with your money in it.
Peacing them together is about 1/2 to 2/3 the price of the kit if you know where to get the stuff. Unless you use ebay.
Cam and lifter packages are just about allways good deals.
