• hows this look?

i was bored last night, and started thinking.

i dont really know that much about turbocharging, but, would this system be feasible.

the pink thing being the intercooler (if you could even fit an intercooler there). it would be where the stock airbox is, so if you had a ram air hood, it could be functional.

only prob i can think of, besides the money part, would be if the turbos would fit there (granted that some stuff would either have to be eliminated or moved.

    meh............
I guess I\'d have answer your question with another question.

How many Abidiginals do you see in modeling??????

headers, 3inch magnaflow cat, Loudmouth
99 Midnight Blue Firebird
3.8L A4

TT's, I think you can get them to fit. They might not go right on the side of the engine, you might have to put them further up frount.
I would try to keep them as far back as possible to keep as much weight out of the frount and try and get you as close to an idel 50%-50% axel weight as you can.
You can lose the stock air filter and replace it with the IC (it will have to go in frount of the radiator some how). The turbos will have to have there own place for there filters (I'm thinking cone type). I'm puting the battery in back of my car and puting at least least one turbos air filter in its place with a cold air hole too.
I think you will have to change the shape of your fenders some at least.
I know I can make my TT's (car domain site down there) fit on the sides of the engine with it being 3rd gen with a 60* engine and if thats not enough I have a plasma torch and hammer.

i would not suggest using the ram air hood to flow the air on the I/C. it wont get enough airflow to be efficient. as for the turbos, that would be a lot of work. im putting my turbos on the sotck manifolds where it would normally mate up with the stock y pipe (im going to change the manifolds slightly to keep the turbos from hitting the ground). i dont see the room in the engine compartment for them but im also not going to deleat any accessories. as for intercooler(s) i would take a look at the twin intercooler kit from ATI Procharger for the ls1 supercharger kit.

Yeah you probably COULD do that but oil flow and piping are going to be a *****.

yeah, to put them down where i said you have to use a scavage pump, and i would also suggest oval pipe to go under the k member or pay the extra money and the the tubular k member.

Front swept headers would b ideal....and you cant go wrong with FMIC its much more efficent...as stated in other threads "heat rises"
