whats up every body,, i got my turbo and planning to boost 10 psi. o.k. this is the problem: its going to be a home made one , because in this island few people know about turbo and you have to pay 100 dollares an hour for them to just help

o.k. its a 3.4 so with 10 psi what injector size i need ??? do i need to change the maf sensor or do i need a programer i do not have a mas sensor but an air sensor instead

the inter cooler can it be made of copper??

why would the intercooler be made of copper?

You're right, the 3.4 doesn't have a MAF sensor. It's a speed density system which mainly just uses the MAP signal.
I was boosting 10psi all the time with my setup. I was using 24#/hr Accel injectors and a Cartech FMU that raised fuel pressure with boost pressure. It worked, but I'm currently running a megasquirt(www.megasquirt.info) that I built and it makes things much smoother than the FMU. Expect I needed larger injectors for that.
But the easy/quick way would be to use a FMU and injectors that are about 24#/hr.
I'm also running a 255l/hr Walbro intank fuel pump.

is the FMU a universal parts or do you have to buy the right part for the right engine??
and is there any more cheaper than Cartech

Most are universal. They splice into your fuel return line. The cartechs are universal, and I think the vortechs are too. Vortech has a fixed ratio model and also a super FMU which is adjustable just like the cartechs. You'd have to ask around to what fixed ratio one you should use. The non-adjustable ones would be cheaper, but I like having adjustability. I got my cartech which was an older model used for a little over $100.

This is just my opinion, but i don't think it's a good idea to go with the lowest bidder on something as important as your fuel system. You might want to look at all your options and make a decision from there, rather than making it based on the cheapest one available. My Procharger Adjustable FMU was around $200.

thanx all of you, in tiago`s web page (www.fff.com) i saw a picture of the 3.4 turbo, but the thing i saw was that on the throtle body they have welded a metal box,,, what kind of modification was that ???do i have to change the map sensor??

i live in aruba , so every part i buy , if it cost 100 dollar ,to get it shipped here I have to pay twice the price and costums

the metal box is some what of an adaptor for his LT1 throttle body. I'm not sure about the map sensor though

I have a simular mod to mount a LT1 throttle body on my intake as well. I had a machinest at my work fab it up for me.
No, you don't have to do anything to the MAP sensor. The MAP sensor just senses the pressure in the manifold for air density calculations along with the IAT sensor so it would be fine.

You don't HAVE to change the throttle body by any means. I just wanted to do it.
I've been running 10psi on my totally internally stock motor that has 212,000 miles(I've never even had the lower intake manifold or valve covers off)...and have been doing it for close to a year. As long as your engine is in good shape now it should hold up...mine did. Just be sure you have enough fuel. 10 psi is fine as long as you don't have knock...
