Looks clean but why did you cut the k-member? That just doesn't seem safe to me.

Those are Pace Setter headers... not tubular manifolds ;)

The notch in the K-Member gave me 2" of ground clearance without spending a few hundred dollars on a tubular one. The notch was boxed in and filled with metal, you can kinda see that in a couple of the pics. It's still totally structurally sound, and didn't change the stiffness/feel/handling of the car at all. She still corners excellently at speed for a car with my suspension mods.

I don't understand the point of your post? He was just giving the reason why he put a notch in the k-member.

I would love to have a little more clearence. Not because I bottom out everywhere but because I would like to lower my car. Really the only time I bottom out is when I also hit the oil pan. Back roads suck ***. The wheel gap up front isn't that bad but it's horriable in the back. I might just have to buy some rear springs or something.

Teuffel, awesome set-up. It really looks killer and i'm not one to give compliments. I don't know why people are bothering you in so many ways. You just showed the entire v6 f-body world another way to make a turbo set-up work. Props to you.

Yeah, but someone commented on the notch. so he felt it neccesary to say why he did the notch. Honestly i think our k-member would be fine with the notch but i could never bring my self to do that just because im not that sure about it. anyway, its good to see someone else is swinging from tiagos nuts with me now :D . now let me redeme myself for my last post by saying lets get back on topic.

You know why i give a $hit about ground clearance? Because Colorado is listed as having some of the worst roads in the country. Me explaining why we notched the K-Member is not BS, so how about you stop with the idiotic posts in here so we can have a decent conversation.

Oh be quiet. Look at the comment made about the notch and look at my response... then stop posting in here.. you're not doing this thread any good.
