If you are going to upgrade the fuel system I wouldn't get a ls1 pump you will just end up having to get a better one. As for the injectors they will not fit up to the wiring harness. Just cut off the ends from a wrecked t/a's wiring harness from a junkyard or something and spice them on.

yeah, i would not recomend 2.73's at all, 3.42's are nice if you do highway driving and 3.73's if you do more in town driving. I dont know why you would want smaller than those, some people even get bigger but then your gas mileage starts to take a big hit.
Now about the fmu thing, why do you not want to go through ebay? have you had a bad experience or something? if not i would totally recomend ebay. i have never had a problem, just make sure you read and look out for turms like "untested" or "sold as is". also check the sellers feedback, and read the comments left by people who have bought from them in the past. the cartech fmu is what i think most people run and havent heard anything bad yet, you can also look at the vortech super fmu (its thier adjustable one) or the adjustable one from ATI Procharger. as for the wastegate, you can typically get away with an internal one but if you are set on external, i would recomend ebay and search for tial wastegates (they are very nice). there really arent cheap external wastegates that i know of. you wont find anywhere cheaper than ebay either.

What turbo do you have or you want to get?
I see you have an a4, you will want to get 3.73's and at least think about 3.42's. It is realy up to how you drive and where and when you want to go fast. Thats how you should make your gear choice.
For the waste gate, ebay is a great place.

Thanks for all the help, the Turbo is a t3/t4 with .83 exhaust, and .62 compressor.
I have heard that the turbo will "spool harder", and make more power with a lower numerical gear. I have 3.42's installed now, I was thinking 3.08's would give better acceleration?
What got me thinking was seeing a turbo trans am run low 12's with a 2.77 gear.
Yeah had a bad experence with e-bay, but after looking at prices, I'll be buying the wastegate, and FMU from there. Is a 40mm wastegate large enough?

yeah it should be plenty large enough. as for the gears though i think you might be a little confused. the larger the # the quicker you accelerate but you also top out at a lower speed. the lower the gear the exact opposite happens. any way i would suggest keeping the gears you have, i dont think its worth the money or effort to switch to 3.73's if you have 3.42's in it already. And i figured you had a bad experience with ebay, since you said you really didnt want to go through them. Just really read carfully and do your homework on the seller and you will be ok. good choice of turbo btw, are you going to try to run the pipes your self or do yout think you will take it to a muffler shop to do that? either way you should be happy with the end product of close to 300hp . at least thats what most turbo'd cars are getting. good luck, and happy bidding.

ok, that was prabably a mistake to by that fmu i know the one you are talking about (the vortech). what you can do is buy a new disk to go in that fmu. I think there might be a way to make it somewhat adjustable but i would suggest getting a new disk. do a search for 12:1 fmu and you might find something on how to do what you are asking. i think most people said with that fmu to get a 6:1 or an 8:1 disk, depending on the aplication. here is a link to what you would need for that fmu look at the recalibration kits and choise the pressure you want http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/.../fuel_fmu.html .good luck but i would say sell that and get the cartech (adjustable makes things easier).

This is getting expensive fast, I got a couple of different discs for the FMU.
I need help on the intercooler. I'm looking on ebay, and they all look the same to me. I want to mount it infront of the air dam, so what dimensions am I going to need, what are the dimensions on tiagos kit? and is it worth the extra money for a spearco?
Why not make a scoop like the WRX by cutting a piece of exhaust pipe in half, and then welding that to an intercooler?
Also if your going to spray alcohol, would you do it before or after the turbo?

i cant really understand what you are asking about the wrx style but front mount is by far the best way to mount the IC. Now as for Spearco... they make a "Bar and plate" style ic which is more durable. Most stock ones are "tube and fin" wich is less durable but still works. So its really up to you as to how efficient and durable an ic you want. But just an fyi, cars that come with a turbo almost always have a tube and fin and its works fine for a long time.
