also i know the kit was open down pipe, i just wasn't sure if it came with the pipe or not, b/c i don't know were i'm going to be staionted at and i may need a full exuast on my car lol

It's not all that uncommon for wiats on forced induction products. My friend ordered new piping and an intercooler for his eclipse. The company called him back 2 weeks later and told him its a 9 month wait. He told the company "Yea, well, when hell freees over let me know, until then cancel my order."

I think once I save up enough money, i am going to buy thousands of dollars worth of tools and machines so I can make turbo kits for cars. Everyone wants them for every car. The wait is insane, because the companies are so busy making hundreds of kits. Average wait is 6-12 months.
Thats BS. It shouldnt take more than 1 month if you got 5-10 people working on the projects. But I guess demand is high.

I disagree... I haven't heard of anyone waiting 6-12 months for a PTK kit or a Turbotech kit. Also, my friend ordered a turbo and ehxaust upgrade kit for his Eagle Talon and it showed up in 4 days from the east coast. The companies aren't busy making kits, they have them in stock. Most companies understand that a 6-12 month wait is very bad for business, and can't "average" that kind of wait on their products. That's the way you lose customers permanently. If there really were an average of 6-12 months on turbo kits and the like, you'd see ALOT more one off custom jobs being done, or you'd see thousands and thousands of nitrous cars, and very rarely run into something with a Turbo.

And I'm pretty sure they don't have anything in stock sitting on the shelves. You really can't compare FFF to anyone else because no one else makes these kits for our cars commercially.

Last time i checked i wasn't talking about FFF so be quiet. Can i make a single post without someone thinking i'm talking about FFF?! All i was disputing was what BirdofPrey said about the average wait being 6-12 months, and how companies are busy making parts for the kits. Hell, the example i used was a DSM! NOT A 3.8!!!!! Never once did i compare what Tiago is trying to do with a commercial company, because Tiago IS NOT on the commercial level! Be sure to thourougly read my posts before you respond to them, and stop trying to find all these little hidden comparisons you think i'm trying to make.

My friend went through a commercial company for his DSM parts and the wait was 9 months.

It's very common, same goes for LS1Speed's kits. Most companies do not have the supplies stocked ready to go. It costs alot to buy products and just let them sit around.

Who really cares how long it takes for another company to get their products out. This whole topic was started just to get updates and to figure out what was going on with the kits.

Do you even understand the way business works?! From that statement, i'm guessing you do not.

There are two things to remember when it comes to companies keeping stock of a particular product: 1) As it was seen with the 1st GP from FFF, the more of something you buy, the less it costs (to a certain degree) 2) You will not lose potential customers because they're turned off by the long wait. Therefore, you cut your costs down (which will make your product more attractive to customers), and you can guarantee prompt delivery, which will leave your customers feeling good about your company. Also, they don't buy products to just "sit around." That's where the marketing campaign comes in with goals of selling the product, so the quantity in stock doesn't just sit around. Of course, there's risk involved when it comes to deciding how much of a particular product should be purchased and put up for sale, but that risk is called business.
