Ok, well, most of you know that I abandoned my turbo 3800 project a few months back because there was a plume of smoke out the exhaust everytime I got into the gas and the oil pressure would rise. Well, I finally got around to getting the scavenge pump and putting it in the return line w/reservoir as suggested today. At idle it smokes a lot less, and all but goes away when the oil pressure drops down after a few mins. However, when I go to drive it and get into the gas, with oil pressure increasing, I get a huge plume of smoke behind me. What do you guys think? Turbo rebuild (it had just been rebuilt before it started smoking the first time)? Is it possible it was a poor rebuild? Any help would rock....thanks.

could be the valve seals also. U can run a restrictor in the oil feed line to the turbo, too much pressure can push oil past the seals in the turbo. the pump reduced some pressure of the oil in the turbo, but prob not enough.
i was thinkin possibly valve seals too, but there is oil still in the compressor outlet. I have a slight restrictor on the inlet, apparently not enough. I'd have to run one tiny *** line to get it to stop smokin. I'm gonna bring it to the guy who rebuilt the turbo for me, have him take a look at it. Thanks for the reply.

thanks for the advice, however, for about the 5th time, i decided to change my mind on what cars i want to keep or ditch. Now I beleive I'm going to be trading the camaro for a 4cyl daily driver and selling the eclipse to buy my friends 11 sec mustang....
