  • SES Trouble Code 0113???

I had my powerdyne 6 lbs supercharger put in my 98 V6 Camaro about a month ago. Since I put that in and hollowed the cat out my SES light comes on, and when I read the code it is always 0113. I just want to be sure this is the intake air temperature sensor (the one that plugs into my ram air box) and not something to do with the cat. I think the blower surge is going out the air box past the sensor and is triggering that code. Has anyone else had this problem? Would a bypass valve correct this? Thanks!!

well if you hollowed out your cat you are going to get a code unless you have an o2 sim. We are OBD2 so if you want to get rid of that you will probably have to get a new cat (not a catco cause they clog really quickly) or an o2 sim. I'm not sure that the # you are getting is for your cat but i would guess it would be.

oh, and a BOV would deffinately be a good mod for your SC to prevent surge and to prolong the life of your blower.

the SC was installed the same time the cat was hollowed out..i was expecting to get a trouble code from the cat..but this code seems to point to the air temperature sensor..also..the garage that hollowed the cat said they do it on their race cars all the time and never get a code..so thats why i'm confused as to which way to go..oh well..i guess i'll try both the BOV and a o2 sim..and a new AIT sensor cuz they're like $12..for now it doesnt seem to be bothering anything..i just want the stupid light to go off and it i shut it off it comes back on the same day! lol ...was just wondering if anyone knew for sure which sensor sets a 0113 code..thanks! i will be running a standard bosch bov when i get my turbo system done. as of right now neither cause im still NA at the moment... it sucks major azz. but there is no real reason to get an expesive flashy bov, the bosch seems to work fine and if it breaks its like a 15-20 dollar part to replace.
I dont know how the shop would run a hollowed out cat without a problem unless they put in o2 sims or arent obd2. ask them what they did to prevent it from tripping a code. i know my car smells real rich now since i hollowed mine out. ill probably wait to fix it till i start assemling my turbo system though. you could go to the dealer and they could probably tell you what the problem is... just dont let them try to fix it for you cause they will charge you 3 times what it would somewhere else.

              fix your AIT sensor..

it will help retard timing with all the extra heat and presure you are seaing..

i accidently screwed mine up a while ago.. its not a good idea to run without one.. its pretty critical in fact..

yeah my car is running a little more rich after i got the cat hollowed out too...i think i'll start with the AIT sensor since its so cheap...and then put on an o2 sim after i put on my 9lb pulley (which i just ordered) ...i know the cars my garage race are odb2 so im not sure how they ran them without setting a code..ill have to ask about that...thanks guys!
