Would an intercooler make any difference in an intake/exhaust 3.8 a4?

After I get my intake/exhaust done (custom intake, headers, no cat, 2.5" catback), I was going to look into an intercooler, just in preparation for a turbo one day. Is this a good idea?

it will hurt performance till you accualy have the turbo in there

Oh, and can I have an intercooler during a Michigan winter?

I think you should do a little more research before diving into a turbo ..

when you compress air, like with a turbo, it heats up... a IC is made to take some of that heat back out of it alowing for a cooler safer more dens air change = a liitle more power.

Do you know how a deisle engine works? It uses the compression to heat up the chamber enough to ignite the fuel when it is injected. Once you understand that compressing a substance heats it up you will understand why an intercooler is needed. Also when a gas is released from a compressed state it will cool down, this is why nitrous has a cooling effect when it is released. Read up on your physics and you will catch on, its really not that hard once you get some concepts down. also i would suggest reading the first post in the link in my sig, it will help as well.
