i really want a turbo on my 99

Hey guys i am having some trouble finding out any information on turbocharging for my 99 3.8l and i want to know what info you can give me to help me

I think there are a few superchargers that you can get but they're like $3500 - $4000 I haven't seen any working turbos for it yet. I'm in the same boat as you. I want a nice turbocharger or supercharger and there aren't many selections out there.

All turbo 3.8's in our cars are custom setup. I only know of 1 turbo 3.8 and thats, forget his name "formula" something. I also plan on doing a turbo intercooled setup. I already have a mechanic that says he can do a job. Check with local shops.

imo the best size turbo for a 3.8 is a .6 a/r t3/4 hybrid, im ordering one soon, i already have the majority of the cash i just have to get it priced

just remember guys you could get a t3, but again, there are t3's that couldnt even feed a honda and also t3's that large engines would have trouple to spool so do some reasearch b4 you buy one off ebay and try to install it, it may not do you any good, always have your turbo sent off ( unless new ) and have it checked for what i call "worth a damness", make sure it has no shaft play, it should spin easily make sure the blades arent broken and what i mean by send it off is have then rebuild it to your specs and tell them what displacement engine you have and how your going to set it up, single, dual, how far away from the heads its going to be, all the info you think they will need to get the best sized turbo, there i think ive said enough, have fun with the turbo job i know i will when its all finished said and done

there's a great forced induction shop up in Yuba City, california. they have a thing on ls1.com and also do custom tuning for smog legality. I've heard that a T3/T4 hybrid would be the best way to go, and I suggest buying it new from garrett so you know it's built for ur engine setup.

im getting mine new through tiago, from a shop he obviously knows and trusts, me and him agree this is probably going to be a Very quick spooling turbo we wont really know till i get it on but hey my car is gonna KICK *** when its there =D any turbo shop can look at the turbo and such and rebuild it to your likeing

I have a t3/t04 that Im going to sell if I buy the powerdyne unit. It has .60 on the intake and .84 on the exhaust. I know this isnt the place for selling items, but it seems like a bunch of people in this thread could be interested. Shoot me an email if this sounds at all interesting to you.
