dont get a DIS-4.. that would be a huge waste of money when we now have tuning software that will do all of that and more.. and its not a PITA to install.. www.hptuners.com

Now, I keep reading on this site that an intercooler eliminates the need for ignition retard. 1DangerousV6, are you not using an intercooler? I didn't see a reference to one on your site, unless I'm missing it. Does an intercooler really eliminate the need to retard ignition, or does it just let you retard less (assuming boost in the 9-12 psi range and 93 octane gas).

Actuality the problem is several fold...
I have never seen the spark table for an L36, therefore it is my best opinion that not all the knock sensors are calibrated within the same range!?!...more sensitive modules or less do exist!
Saying this KR could be false due to the heat and power been generated by FI? that is one way to look at it! However I am also inclined to believe that 10psi on a stock engine with 9.4:1 CR is a lot granted the PCM commands almost 26 degrees of timing @ WOT. So cutting back some spark event will be a good thing in the long run or just running some higher octane fuel would help...

it can make it so you dont need to retard depending on how well it cools the air. if you have cooler air you will have less knock. and yeah dangerous are you running one, if not i would suggest getting one for boost levels that high.

Allthegoodnamesaregone nailed it. GET HPTUNERS (hptuners.com)! You will be able to see your spark tables, adjust just about every aspect of your timing (and fuel tables).

In addition, you can raise your rev limiter, speed limiter, remove O2 sensors (after the cat), calibrate speedometer, monitor and clear codes, and about 100 other things.

The tech support is fantastic and once you add up all the things it can replace (ignition control modules, O2 sims, speedo calibration device, MAF fuel modules, etc.) it is worth every penny.

you need this, you can prgram it to use full timing up to what ever boost, for examlpe 8 pounds then after 8 pounds it will pull timing 1* then say for 10pounds it will pull 2*

                        My pulley was 2.75"

                        I ran a 103" belt. A 103.5 would be perfect.

I had to take the tensioner pulley bolt out, to get the 103 belt on, then put the bolt back in.

I don't know the length of the original belt.
