  • whats new in my world..Fixed header leak, jd power wrap, and cutout!

Header leak is somewhat fixed.. hopefully it will play nice now..

JDpower wrap is MONEY!! making alot more boost lower, even with a looser belt.. have not really hit it yet.. too much traffic on the way home..

errr.. i got a 105.5" belt.. its too long.. 104-103 is probably ideal but that was not available.. this is also why the its not very tight as described above..

CUTOUT.. got a cheepo manual flowtech for free.. +$60 for install by a friend at an exhaust shop (yeah i was lazy).. it sounds frigging AWSOME!! I havent really opened the car up on the road.. but i revved it to 4k and it sounded alot better then the catback i have ever will.. its abou as loud as any ls1 with a cutout.. and sounds kinda like i have a little chop to my cam.. its nice.. not to mention you vibrates the car when its open.. all my change shakes around..

so.. hopefully.. next week at the track (weather pending) i will be able to lay down some high 13's..

    want some more rob?? :D

    wish me luck!

Oh no you didn't. Maybe I'll see you, maybe I wont. It'll be a blur, and it's tough to look in my rearview mirror for you.

Actually, I'm the same as I've been. Street boost builds waay to high, lots of squeeks, not much else. So no track for me.

          Awesome progress dude!

IT shuld be good.. I hit it on the way home today..

its making boost alot lower.. however its onyl making like 2.5psi.. which is really low even for my car.. so.. i gota some up with a way to tighten that belt or get a slighty smaller one..

but thats not a huge deal.. friday will be a good time..

well.. its a long story.. but i got my pacesetter instaled at a shop.. becuase it was winter.. and untill resently we allways did our work outside.. so.. regardless..

the guy decided not to put two of the head studs in the back 2 on the last primary on the passenger side.. he is a fuNkup.. never taking hte car back there.. this was the smallest of the problems i had with him..

so.. i jsut got some studs and took care of it..

anyone know what the stock pully powerdyne record is?? I think i wanna beat that before i upgrade..

I never had a stock pulley on mine.... So I can't really chime in on that one.

                      I ran a 14.1 before I installed the fmu, and a 13.6 after the fmu. :D

Say Billy, did you say 2.5 psi.? That's kind of low. Tighten that thing up and give it about 3/4" play.

Man, I wish I could do a cutout and a good header. Stinks here in Calif. I'm still trying to pass smog.

                        Good luck though.

fixed it tonight.. the 105 was too long to acctualy tighten.. got a 103 gatorback over the stock pully.. its was a PITA.. however once it got on there it dident need to be tightened at all.. that sh1t was solid..

yeah it shuld probably see about 5-5.5 psi peak now.. with the rockers i have and the headers my car can really eat up some pressure.. becuase at this point i have tried everything.. I have pretty much maxed out the pully.. gota go smaller if i want more boost..
