It's a 3.2 VR6. Also, the car is normally AWD but they disconnected the rear diff for the dyno. No idea what it runs in the quarter yet. ;)
BTW, a bone-stock R32 AWD (non-turbo!) runs a 13.8 with a 1.8 60' time.
Drool on.

that is the dumbest thing ive ever seen. 600whp yes, but in a useable powerband of about 900 rpm only. who cares. its a dyno queen. that thing would never be able to use its power on the street unless it was doin like 100mph then floored it.

Also, I knew one of the techs that worked there, he was one of the guys that helped build their first "real" turbo VR- it was an A3 Golf GTI VR6, (the older 2.8 12-valve one) that eventually ran a 10.23 @ 138 MPH. Oh, it was also FRONT WHEEL DRIVE. That same car also made a 10.8 with a blown third gear. The car was driven daily as well. (well, not without third gear, but whatever)
This new car has more power, a six-speed VERY close ratio transmission, and all wheel drive. And you think it's gay? Keep running your 15's, troll.

I agree with Ian. That's not really the most impressive thing i've ever seen. The numbers they got are good for bragging rights, however. But, IMO, MIGHTYMOUSE's power curve is MUCH more impressive than that.
it's a volkswagon, so it automatically qualifies as gay :D
and that particular car.... well..... you can take a piece of **** and make it fast, but then all you've got is a fast piece of **** :D Kind of like an SRT4 neon :D

wow really, other people who know a thing or two about turbos agree? weird.........
If you all payed any attention at all, the graph isnt over rpm, it's over mph. They also did the dyno pull in 5th gear. The peak of the curve goes from around 110 mph over to nearly 140 mph. That is a pretty good range of rpm's. Also, notice it only took him about 8 seconds to rip through the first 5 gears, and that is with a few slow shifts. Sure, it was from a rolling start, no wind resistance, etc. etc.. When they post timeslips, you all will be the first to know.
I am getting really tired of the attitudes on here. All I wanted to do was post a neat video on a car making some horsepower, and almost immedately it got flamed. The thing is, I can respect ANY kind of car that makes horsepower. I dont care what it is. I've seen a Ford Festiva beat a Ferrarri in a drag race. Sure, stupid car but it also went stupid fast. If you dont like VolkswagEns, (spell it RIGHT next time) dont post something meaningless. It makes you look like a close-minded ignorant ***. Which, as I am starting to learn, is what the majority of F-body drivers are.
