• 3.4 Turbo q's..

Alright, so I'll be running into a bit of money very soon, and I'm just wondering if Tiago makes a kit for my 3.4. I plan on buying another 3.4, and build it up (ROSS pistons, rods, heads, cam, etc etc..) and then throw the turbo on. How much boost will Tiago's kit put out? And is there anything specificly I should spend more time/money on when building up the engine? Thanks.

Check out www.forcefedfab.com. Yes, he does make a 3.4L kit. I believe it put down numbers in the 250-300 range depending on how many lbs of boost you run.

For a good idea on how to build up a FI engine, check out Vipers webpage or contact DavidSri. Although they both have 3.8L you can get a good idea what it will take.

Something happened with his server and it deleted the webpage. He has it saved on his computer and should be back up soon.
As for the motor I would for sure get some free flowing heads and a bigger throttle body. I think that's the only mods Tiago has done to the engine on his 3.4 but I might be wrong. Do a search for his numbers. With the new turbo I think he put down some really impressive numbers for just a little amount of boost.

5 pounds of boost gave him 290rwhp. but like Radcat said he has a few mods. I think the site said the kit is ment to run at 7 pounds of boost on a stock motor. So a well built motor will be very impressive. I am going to do the same thing with my 3.4. hoping to get started by the first of the year. I am shooting for 15-18 pounds of boost but that remains to be seen.

Thanks for the replies. Andrew, sounds like what I'm planing on doing. I really wanna make my 3.4 haul ***. I was thinking about putting a 3.8 in instead, but it's not really worth it I dont think, as I am planing on modding the hell out of the 3.4. My goal is 12 pounds of boost, 15-18 would be sweeet, but I'd be worried about cooling with that much boost. I'm gonna start ordering the motor parts in a few weeks, and a turbo kit soon as there may be a wait before I get it. Good luck with your project, keep me posted. Viper, all I can say is , looks and performance are very well ballanced, what times do you run?
